His old original solo, Joe Kellys run in particular, was brilliant though. Widely regarded as one of the good things to come out of the 90s.
And reading his appearances in the old x-force books I don't blame ya for hating him.
But imagine if your favourite character, Havok right? Was written by someone who doesn't really have a clue on how to write him, or just writes him as a plot device or comic relief. That's what happens to Deadpool, A LOT. Especially these days with him becoming popular. He turns up in more books, and the people just don't know how to write him.
Like I said I'd recommend Joe Kellys run to anyone who doubts the actual "character" of Deadpool. He ain't just some one dimensional loud mouth. But hey you might not even like that, no worries.
The way I'd describe Deadpool (when written right) is that he is one of those clowns that's laughing on the outside, but crying on the inside.
