Same. Particularly since "magic" is often spelled with a K in the Marvel Universe anyway.

Well, the Russian word for magic is магия. But that doesn't mean someone saying the English word "magic" with a Russian accent would put the accent on the wrong syllable.

SIMON KINBERG: We’re gearing up to make both of them this year [Deadpool 2 & New Mutants]. New Mutants we’re waiting on a new draft of the script, which we’re all very excited about. Josh Boone has been prepping that movie. Josh is someone who is a lifelong, hardcore fan of New Mutants, and the plan is to make that movie late spring, early summer of this year, and have it come out next year.

An update on new mutants but nothing we haven't heard before really

“The tone of ‘New Mutants,’ in the same way that ‘Logan’ is a different tone than ‘Deadpool,’ the tone of ‘New Mutants’ has, like the comic, a sort of Stephen King aspect to it — which is also something that Josh is really interested in and well-versed in,” he explained. “I think it’ll feel different than the other films.”

That’s a tone that a new generation of viewers has become familiar with thanks to “Stranger Things,” the hit Netflix sci-fi/horror series set in early-1980s Indiana. When asked whether “New Mutants” will draw any inspiration from that summer hit, Kinberg replied, “I think that ‘New Mutants’ will be influenced by the same things that ‘Stranger Things’ was influenced by. I don’t think we will look at ‘Stranger Things’ as a model. We look at the same models that they did, which is the Amblin movies and actually, weirdly, the John Hughes movies.”

Nothing specific, but Boone mentioned wanting to be shooting as early as April back in December. Don't think that'll happen at this point, but he has tweeted/RT about the film hitting next year so it's probably right on track. We're probably not that far off from a bunch of announcements coming in.

That's what happened with DP iirc. Ryan had a few teases and they had the R rating confirmation and that was it until they announced the cast after production had started.
