Sequels The New Mutants - Josh Boone to Direct - Part 2

Raven was 6 in 1944 and Xavier is 91 in DOFP 2023. what a mayhem with these producers they are not logical

you cant say someone who is 20 yo having 30 yo 15 years later

Comics have a sliding timeline. Is that not possible in the movies?

Yess I'm so happy for the franchise. Hope Dark Phoenix's getting some new talents soon.

Aside from what pops up on his Instagram, I kind of like how much Boone is keeping close to the chest. Sure, it'd be nice to know more, but at the same time, especially for New Mutants, but I like the news we've gotten that's trickled out. Plus, if I recall, the production for First Class and Logan was kept in secret until we got either the first photos or the trailer itself.

Seems the same may be applicable for New Mutants.

Comicbook.com speculation they are casting for Demon Bear.

He's been very forthcoming up until now. He took all the concept art leak in stride, as well as RT'ing those articles about cast speculation. It's been close to the chest as we've gotten closer to begin with, but we know a bit more than we usually do with some of these bigger superhero films. But I like how he left Twitter as pre-production ramped up in order to tune out that all that social media noise and just leaves minimal Instagram updates.

Can we expect anyone from previous x-men movies to show up?

No idea. There were Storm rumors, but I am unconvinced that that wasn't a mix up with Dark Phoenix.

As far as an can recall Storm and Xavier were minor roles in the comic storyline which would probably explain those rumours the only other person I can think of involved with that particular story is Rachel Summers. I wouldn't mind this to be set in the future with Rachel being part of the older generation of X-Men.

I think that casting info is for Demon Bear why would they need a 6'9 Warlock?

Anything's possible but:

1) 6'9" to 7'4" might the tallest the character will be in that scene.

2) 6'2" Hugh Jackman says Hi.

Doubt they'd be casting Warlock this close to shooting. Why would they be specifically LOOKING for someone that tall for Warlock?

This is a lot like The Man With the Yellow Eyes on Legion. They need a tall person to get prosthetics put on to just be a visual pressence and not a character that requires someone to actually... act.

Nor would Warlock be chasing children. That being said, I like that "good at chasing children" a specific casting requirement.

Not when you base movies in specific time periods so characters are certain ages.

Comics often topically reference specific years. Havok and Wolverine once referenced the recent Chernobyl disaster, for example. They've often referenced the current President in office. The only difference is they're usually referencing contemporary events (although, not exclusively, since there's a tendency to represent characters' early history as the 1960s). But, as someone who is reading those comics recently, it functions the same way as these movies do.

Charles is 12 in 1944 and is "90" in 2029 (they never actually say his official age). Technically, yes, he should then be 97 in 2029, but the fact I never bothered to think about that until this post means you are really reaching to complain and nitpick this.

As for Raven being 6 in 1944? So? We haven't seen her at any point past the early 2000s. And they established in FC that conveniently after reaching adolescence, she ages at about a third of the rate of normal human.

I suggest not thinking too much on this stuff, it makes life happier.

Xavier was 12 in 1944 FC intro so 30 in 1962, 41 in 1973 and 51 in Apocalyupse. If DP will set 10 years later he will be in his 60

Oh I missed this post too. Heh, they should have just established in FC that ALL mutants age slower than humans. Would have saved them and the most diehard fans a lot of headaches. Heh.

"You must be able to chase kids down a hall."

lol, I'm dead.

They say nonagenarian in Logan, which means someone in their nineties, not 90 explicitly if I'm correct. The only plot with his age is he says he saw Shane at the same age as Laura, which doesn't work with his age, although of course he is senile in the movie and could just be remembering that wrong.
