couple things i noticed in the trailer, not sure if it's been noticed or not.

1) the part where you see his hand on new krypton. It's kinda cool cuz you see he has these burns on his fingertips. At least that's what they appear like to me. Perhaps they added a new effect to what kryptonite does to superman. Not only does it drain him of his powers and poisons him but perhaps it gives him radioactive burns too? pretty cool idea there.

2) the last part of the trailer where you see him make the fist in sunlight.. seems like he flies up to get direct exposure to sunlight to reenergize himself. That's pretty cool too since we've never really seen him do that in movies before.

if this has already been talked about, then disregard these observations.

I'm not sure if your first point has been discussed before, but I'm pretty sure your second point has been brought up.
But from looking at the footage in the trailer it looks like these theories were correct.

WOW!!!! This is the best one yet by far. We get to see and hear Routh more (and it looks like he's doing a great job), plus some really awesome effects shots... this movie is going to OWN the summer. X-Men was good, Da Vinci Code was so so... but I have no doubt that Superman Returns will be the best film we see (with the possible exception of POTC2).

That shirt rip gets me everytime!! I can't get over how sadistic Spacey is a Lex!! Good to see more footage of him. I don't know why, but I love the scene with "I see an old man's sick joke" and "krrrryptonite"!

Still prefer the international trailer, but I think for anyone still concerned about Luthor being played as campy, this one should remove all doubt.

I saw this trailer with X3 (both times) and even though I was never a fan of the Superman movies or of Superman in general the trailer raised my interest a good bit. Kevin Spacey as Luther is especially striking in this one.
