What I mean is that goes against them at least some. They will be seen as a british kid unless they use an american accent. Peter is not british, and neither is spiderman. If they do use an american accent I don't think it's really a problem. It doesn't bother me too much, but I would much rather have a Peter who is american like he always has been.

Well of course they would use an American accent. Andrew Garfield used one, and he's British.

I think he just been fan cast for a few roles over the yrs. And probably has met with marvel like many actors have. If he was to be anything in next few yrs I can't really think of any other characters I could see him working as at the moment.

Ya accent isn't a problem as long as they can pull off a good American one. Ideally I love to have American in the role. And bonus point if they live or was raised in nyc.

Heck take for example Rick the governor and Morgan Maggie actors from walking dead. All of them are British and pull off great American accents and didn't even know they where British to i seen interviews with them.

Not that I want either as Spider-Man but how is a 31 year old Donald Glover being considered for Spider-Man but Jaden Smith (who is 16 year old) is not ?
I thought the same thing. I think that they could, if they wanted make PP black in the MCU, and they could TECHNICALLY change their minds and go with Miles Morales. I wouldn't really mind either, but IF they did that, Jaden would be a much more likley choice than Donald. It's just... there are DOnald fans out there...
I don't want Jaden for Spidey either anyways.
I am pretty sure it was more of a joke suggestion... but it should have then gone down with Andrew and Maguire in the bonus unlikleys.

Andrew Garfield was British, but spoke in a New York accent for TASM movies...again not a problem and not a big deal if the actor isn't American.

Exactly. But it would be one more thing they have to go through before he could act, making him a less likley choice. I personally don't have a problem with a british person, bust no british voice.
Another note, if they had to coach a british person who had exactly equal ability as a non british, the non british should get the job. Just because they would have to do less work.

There is no need to change peter or jump right to miles. If they jump to miles they would have to change his story and likely take more peter things to make him work. And we already know miles isn't in picture roght now. They want peter and are doing peter. And so far all actors we heard express interest been white and Logan and dylan only trade named actors are white. And marvel yet to change a main hero ethnicity.

It's better start with peter play with him for like two to 3 phases. Then when peter actor is ready to leave either him peter retire or die play with miles for a few films and bam peter comes back. And same thing with miguel.

I was going to answer you, but I'll just let harryoscop do my bidding. :o

If they get Miles, they should get that actor from Lab Rats to play him. :o

Jeff Sneider also said that Marvel are only looking at white actors now.

They can EASILY hire an accent coach for the actor.. EASILY.

He wouldn't have to do any more than the American actor

Ya I know I was just pointing out we know marvel likes to play the long game. And we known it be peter from start. No way they wouldn't do him right. Then in time do miles or miguel or any others. You don't just jump the shark when they have other characters to play with later.

Cone in Jackson as fury is a totally different case. First Jackson gave marvel ok to use his likeness for ultimate comics. And then things came full circle and that incarnation was picked for movie verse.

As for miles we likely wouldn't see him for to at least phase 5. And that likely be a good 8+ yrs from now. So any pick for miles now likely wouldn't matter. It likely be some baby or young 4 to 6 yr old actor right now.

Really? Last I heard he had specifically said there was at least one black actor who they had auditioned.

Again f Jeff everything he said I. Twitter or meet the press podcast has only been speculation and he even redacted some comments since he didn't know any better and even has trolled fans. So until he has an article at the wrap everything else is just hot air coming from him.

1. Asa Butterfield - Yesssss!
2. Dylan O'Brien - No doubt he could be great
3. Logan Lerman - Sure,why not?
4. Matteus Ward - Meh.
5. Chandler Riggs - :argh:
6. Teo Halm - Wait and see
7. Charlie Rowe - Haven't seen him enough
8. Vincent Martella - No thanks
9. Freddie Higmore - Hes alright but I see him more as harry
10. Any Young Male Actor From A Disney/Nick Show - As long as they pull of PP and spidey I don't mind
11. Donald Glover -Would love to see him as spidey
12. Dylan Sprayberry -

"From what I was told they did start seeing actors of color, and now the things seem to have narrow down a little bit to seem that only young white actors are going in, you know, 15 to 18 [year old actors]".

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.
Haven't looked at his interview in a while.

Agreed. He shouldn't be taken seriously unless he claims he actually saw the actor or the people picked for auditions. Most of what he has ever said is speculation to a degree.

Totally like he even said what he talks about there or twitter isn't fact until he posts it on the wrap and he was crap otherwise.
