The biggest problem with X for me is the protagonist. Titus is just insufferable as a character.

Let me guess: Cloud Strife is your favorite protagonist.

Because that's the only reason I can think of for not liking Tidus. He's incredibly fleshed-out and three-dimensional, and the bonds he forms with the other characters - and the tragedy inherent in his story - are among the strongest in the franchise.

Cloud's just an emo dude with spiky hair and a really big sword.

Check out them FMV shots! These really had me concerned bc most of the PS2 HD collection cutscenes look like crap bc they don't do anything to the FMVs, but the SE team has done AMAZING work on this front. Looks like one of the reason this is taking so long is bc they are completely redoing them

Form what I've heard Basch was originally supposed to be the main character of the game but it was switched to Vaan at the last minute to appeal to a younger demographic.

I consider Ashe to be the closest thing to a main character of the story of XII, even if they did it on accident as it had a tumultuous development cycle. But the game forces Vaan on you even though he's along for the ride in the story early on.

Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca! Now there's a name. Vaan? Vaan's a doof the game could have been better without and his Penelo too. Even the game's co-director said Vaan and Penelo were added at the very end of whatever process they came up with to make the game.

I really wish they had just had you control Ashe once you join the party as Vaan really becomes irrelevant to the story by that point

I'm not really feeling the new battle theme for the remaster. Too much reverb added and the bass seems like it's been sucked out of the music.

Final Fantasy XV And Kingdom Hearts III Will Be At Tokyo Game Show This Year. August 30, 2013 . 10:30am

Not only are Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Drakengard 3 going to be at the event, but Square will be bringing Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III as well.

The exhibitor’s list for Tokyo Game Show is available now, and it looks like Square Enix are going to be bringing their A-game to the show this year.


Not only are Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Drakengard 3 going to be at the event, but Square will be bringing Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III as well. It looks like the days of waiting years for a morsel of Versus XIII news are behind us. Here’s Square’s full TGS line-up:

Final Fantasy Agito Coming To iOS And Android This Winter. September 10, 2013 . 9:33pm

Final Fantasy Agito is in development for iOS and Android platforms, and it looks like it has characters from Final Fantasy Type-0.

Back before Square Enix moved the game to PSP, Final Fantasy Type-0 was named Final Fantasy Agito XIII and was in development for phones. This week’s Famitsu magazine reveals that an “Agito” game is still headed to phones. Final Fantasy Agito is in development for iOS and Android platforms (thanks, Re: Zaregoto) this winter.

The game is a new title that will give players a look at the history of the first bout. The game is somehow related to Final Fantasy Type-0, as certain characters from that game are visible in the magazine. You can see Ace from FInal Fantasy Type-0 in the top left.


We’ll have more details on Final Fantasy Agito as soon as they are available.
