I'm loving the heist angle. Especially now that I'm neck-deep in GTA V, which makes the heist into an art form.

He reported that Michael B Jordan was going to play Human Torch. However, he is only reporting what everyone suspects will happen, much like Jordan as Johnny Storm and much like how Latino Review said that Aaron Taylor Johnson was going to play Quicksilver.

In other words, when Marvel does announce Rudd for Pym and Jones as Janet, it will surprise nobody. Much like when they officially announce Johnson for QS and Liz Olsen for Wanda.

Since Edgar wants Pym and Lang... Two Ant-Men breaking into an AIM facility to steal something vital could be such a cool action sequence. I'm expecting that after Lang steals the suit, he'll feel guilty and work with Pym against AIM or whoever the villains are.

technically, that's what it was in the book. it just didn't seem that way because they weren't expecting an ant-sized former burglar to sneak in. but the place was also doubling as a hospital/lab.

part of me wishes that Wright was basing the movie on the Taskmaster's first appearance; that involved Hank and Scott teaming up to break into another corporate office.

I wonder what Ant-man will be stealing or possibly rescuing/liberating?

Lang sneaked into CTE to rescue Dr Sondheim and Pym sneaked across the Iron Curtain to rescue his friend FBI agent Lee Kearns.

maybe Lang sneaks in but is caught. and Pym (and Jan) have to break in to rescue him.

So is this going to be more of a comedy or just another stylistic heist movie? It's Edgar Wright, so I'd expect a lot of comedy. But I think you need this to be more of a comedy/parody moreso than an action movie. Dramedy if there is such a thing.

The film will have a similar tone to the first Iron Man according to Edgar. Ant-Man won't be a parody and will have large special effects action set pieces.

All Marvel films have comedy elements without being out right comedies.

Speaking of Hank Pym and Ant-Man, there're rumors that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are up for the role

I'm okay with Rudd but I think they can find someone better than rashida. I would actually prefer ultimate wasp because she's less of a helpless female stereotype even though its sacrilege to want the ultimate u over the 616 u.

Worked ok for Samuel l Jackson though.

616 Jan isn't a helpless female. She was even leader of the Avengers for a while. She might be more of a flighty airheaded heiress type, but even that side of her has been developed over the decades. If anything, as A:EMH has shown, she's not a helpless female but more of a go-get-em girl who wants to be at the front of the action.

i'm still unconvinced that judo would have worked on an ant. and they sure never bothered showing Pym taking lessons; like a regular person. when did he find the time?

i'm hoping that the make the actual comic book character into someone you'd see in grand theft auto. having said that, they did just have Scott Lang break into the Watcher's home and hold him at gunpoint (ultimate nullifier); while She-Hulk tied him up.

Taskmaster, disguised as Captain America, also used him to break into what they thought was the Triune Understanding's headquarters. it was a set-up.
