The point is making a personal connection between the characters since they are no longer a similar age and Douglas is playing an older Hank Pym.

I hear there is a scene in the film where hank has a the first tales to astonish comic, the 2nd avengers comic, the first antman comic and first wasp comic in his bathroom and takes his pants off and takes a big **** on them
Meaning that an old guy and a young guy could never be friends under normal circumstances....? Okay.
The connections seem pretty self-evident to me: Lang steals Pym's suit and learns to use it; Pym is impressed that somebody else can use it as well as he can, and chooses to take Lang under his wing; Lang starts falling for Pym's beautiful daughter, which starts creating personal friction between the three of them.
did hank crap on himself? if these comics are so important, why are they in his bathroom?
Exciting times up ahead for this movie in regards to casting. Outside of Evangeline Lilly and Michael Pena, it's going to be interesting to see who else is being considered and which characters are being considered.
Cassie Lang, Bill Foster, Erica Sondheim, Younger Pym etc.
Also interested in seeing how this film connects to the MCU.
I heard the rumour. She could be a random Cuban chick or lackey since the main villain is meant to be some Fidel Castro type.
She's hot. I remember her from the last season of CSI:NY.
How much $$$ do y think Ant-Man needs to make to be successful?

Agreed. I don't it will be Pym going against Castillo's (Michael Pena character) entire regime, but rather a specific special-ops mission or a rescue attempt or something of that nature. Still, I think it will be important enough for Castillo to harbor a grudge against Pym for many years (decades), since I think it was reported that his role continues in the movie into the present day.it's hard to imagine Ant-Man going up against a political figure. it's not like he could really depose someone like Castro; without the vacuum of power instantly filling up.

Just random speculation from here out...
Maybe Castillo, for some reason, holds Maria Pym as a political prisoner, and Pym suits up to rescue her? I don't think Maria is Cuban in the comics... Hungarian, was it? But that would be a minor change. I can see Natalie Martinez playing Maria, if that were the case.
Also, maybe said rescue mission doesn't go too well and ends up with Maria Pym losing her life, causing Pym to fall apart, and completely reject "superheroing", SHIELD (or whatever organization he's working for), etc. This could also leave him somewhat distant as a single, grieving father, thus leading to an estranged relationship with his daughter, Janet.
Yeah, that sounds like Castromaybe he's the man behind the scenes of an organ harvesting enterprise

I see he also did Freaks and Geeks, giving him a Judd Apatow connection like Paul Rudd.
