It would be pretty funny if we see sixties Ant-Man Pym bump into a security guard who is younger version of this guy which would give this Avengers scene a whole different context :woot:

that's a GREAT idea!

that guy could, concievably, be working more than one job. he might be security at the college campus where Pym (speculatively) works.

I love the idea that things happened in the past, and could add more context to certain lines in Avengers.

Like maybe a lot of things already happened in the past, and they've always been part of a much bigger world/universe, "we just don't know it yet".

It would be really funny if this guy had in fact met Pym before. Or if Shield knows Kang the conqueror had already time-traveled to Ancient Egypt but this was buried by Shield/ARMOR "like the pharaohs of old", when they stopped the Kang who showed up in this universe..

As expected Cinematographer Bill Pope who worked with Edgar on Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and The World's End is Ant-Man's Cinematographer.

Bill Pope is mostly known as the Cinematographer for the Matrix films and multiple Sam Raimi films including his Spider-Man sequels.

His full filmography history

1989 - Pet Sematary
1990 - Darkman
1991 - Closet Land
1992 - Army of Darkness
1993 - Fire in the Sky
1994 - Blank Check
1995 - Clueless
1996 - Bound
1997 - Gridlock'd
1998 - Zero Effect
1999 - Freaks & Geeks
1999 - The Matrix
2000 - Bedazzled
2003 - The Matrix Reloaded
2003 - The Matrix Revolutions
2004 - Spider-Man 2
2004 - Team America: World Police
2006 - Fur
2007 - Spider-Man 3
2008 - The Spirit
2010 - Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
2012 - Men in Black 3
2013 - The World's End

A good pick I think. Pope is very experienced.

Dude. I did not realize Pope had done the cinematography on The Matrix and Raimi's Spider-Man films. I was just stoked he worked on Scott Pilgrim. HOLLA!!!

I hope Wright thinks of this.

I`m looking forward to this movie it sort of reminds me of Mask of Zorro a little bit.

@edgarwright
Huge congrats to @SteveBPrice for his Bafta Award for the 'Gravity' score. I guess I should drop the news that he is scoring 'Ant-Man'.

Marvel is ROCKING it with these cinematography/composing picks lately!

Edgar is using most of the crew from his past two movies so it isn't a huge shock to see Steve B Price scoring Ant-Man. Price scored Ant-Man co-writer Joe Cornish Attack The Block, worked as music editor on Batman Begins and The Lord Of The Rings films.

Very talented crew on Ant-Man which is a good sign.

I expect some more official casting soon as well. Besides Rudd and Douglas we have had a lot of rumoured names but no confirmations besides those two.

Oh yes, that's true. Same with Gunn. When you get directors like Wright and Gunn on your projects, you also bring along their boatloads of talented people to put the movie together.

Pretty much everything Price has worked on in some capacity I've loved the music. I now expect Ant-Man to be no different. There's a definite uptick in quality in the Phase II music than from Phase I, save for Silvestri who's Cap soundtrack was awesome (honorable mention to Menken!). And Silvestri's Avengers theme.

I can't remember if they announced who's doing the A:AoU score?

Someone send Wright that "little feller" idea over twitter!!

I see three major females in this film: Janet, Maria Pym and Erica Sondheim.
