no one's saying. they are more tight-lipped about this movie than Trank's Fantastic Four. Douglas did say that he'd be down for making multiple appearances.

That's impossible. At least Ant-Man actually has an official cast. :woot:

For anyone who didn't see the Avengers Assemble episode on Sunday:

Ant looked pretty boss.

That's. . . ugh. I can't put my finger on why, but that costume looks hideous. Its like he got bitten by a radioactive colorblind football player.

Its nice to see the costume is very movie based - hope they push that look.

was it pym or lang in the cartoon? also is the cartoon any good? i heard its not even close to A:EMH but has it gotten better?

I'm guessing that it was Pym. Lang and Barton always seemed to get along. Scott saved him from a lion, once.

I think its the helmet.

I wish Lang wore this design of the Ant-Man suit in the film.

You can put this Ant-Man on a movie poster.

you can. but you'd have to change the helmet. no actor is going to want to be that covered up. the spider eyes are a little off-putting, as well. that said, Olivier Copiel is the guy i trust to redesign hero suits. he gave it a very functional design; almost looks like a wetsuit.

Rudd is going to need a suit in which he can do some dancing in.

Rudd got jacked. Not as big as Pratt, but still looks good.

It is probably written in every Marvel superhero male leads contract they need to get buff with the exception Ruffalo :woot:

The revolving face plate design works well enough for Iron Man and Star Lord so it would be fine for Ant-Man.

I actually like the bug eyes as it reminds me of the type of night-vision goggles black ops guys use in Splinter Cell. With Lang being a burglar and this being something of a spy/heist movie I think that design would work well.

You can't tell who is under the helmet in the test footage design either so I'm not sure Marvel is against full face helmets.

you can't tell in the test footage because they were purposely keeping the identity hidden. the stunt actor is wearing a black mask; beneath the helmet. if figure the final product will look more like the Avengers Assemble cartoon version; where you can see most of the mouth, chin, and eyes.
as for the bug eyes, my issue is with there being 4 of them on the helmet. it'd look better with just two big red ones. there was an alternate Copiel design with that look.

I'm still thinking how will they play out the integration of ANT-MAN into Avengers, I mean if you won't have the Hank Pym version to join the current line up (and I know that the drafts of Edgar Wright is the HUGE factor on this one) then Feige and co. are really looking to the Future Foundation (pun intended) of the roster change for the Earth's Mightiest.

Do you guys think the credits scene for GOTG will have something to do with Ant-Man?

The reason we have not heard of Douglas Pym is because he is hiding out from Glenn Close 'bunny boiler' Nova Prime :cwink:

the Scott Lang version has been around since the 80s. he was offered Avengers membership, at least, twice before actually joining. that said, he aided the team in the early days while maintaining part-time hero status; a reservist of sorts. maybe it will be the same in the movie. there's not really an organized Avengers team anyways (at least presently).

Does Ant-Man need to be an Avenger? I mean we have a 2nd team, The Defenders. No offense but what does Ant-Man bring to the table???

i don't think he needs to be an Avenger. but he's supposed to bring what Robert Downey jr brought; humor, personality, banter. personally, i think they should just add Wasp. she could fill that role. you're (i'm speculating) thinking of it in terms of powersets and what the character's are in the books. i'm thinking of it in perspective of the real-life personalities fleshing these characters out. there's a really good reason to add Paul Rudd to the cast; whether he's Ant-Man or Demolition-Man. he's a draw.

I just thought of something. It would be pretty cool if in the Ant-Man flashbacks, Hank Pym is with Howard Stark and Stark gets assassinated by none other than.......the WINTER SOLDIER. And then there could be a cool Ant-Man and Winter Soldier fight scene. Hmmmmm...maybe this is why Sebastian Stan signed a 9 picture deal...

Hahah but that would really be interesting to see. I hope they do that if they end up making Ant-Man movies that take place in the past with Hank Pym.

if it happens, it might take place in the Betty Ross tv series. they are going to need some superhero guest appearances in that one.
