The real question is what do you do when you're black and you get bad service.

If you punish the waiter/waitress for bad service it will only reinforce a negative stereotype.

Typically I always tip 15%, no matter what. I'd rather reward poor service than reinforce an ugly stereotype.

I usually do on top of taxes.

But it's typically 15, great service 20, poor service 10.

Sean McCoy of the Eagles was at a burger place recently and the bill was like $61 and he gave like $0.20.

I overtip, in a measly effort to attack that stereotype.

I try to counter most black stereotypes, especially thuggery.

Except for laziness and fried chicken. I'm not going to break a sweat or give up fried chicken for anyone. :argh:

good service good tip..is my general rule

I hate feeling that I have to overtip average service because of the stereotype that black people don't tip. For a long time I'd always tip no matter what, but if I'm getting poor service then **** 'em. I realized that a lot of service people are so damn entitled that they don't realize when they do a bad job. It's basically sales, but so many of them don't see that. So you get my order wrong, my food is cold, I couldn't get a hold of you to change it, but you still think I should give extra to you? ESAD with all that nonsense.

The LeSean McCoy thing trips me out, and not because he gave a bad tip. He possibly could have been stupid by writing down $0.20 instead of the $20.00 he intended. He is an Eagle after all.:oldrazz: But this trend of service people public shaming celebrities for not tipping is ridiculous. It only shows one side of things. For all we know the waiter or waitress treated the guy like crap the whole time, or the person screaming that they got no tip could be lying. Remember those stories where the person claiming that someone said something racist or homophobic and gave no tip turned out to be a lie? Yeah, I'm not even going to jump to conclusions on it because you only have one side of the story.

Like most Europeans I don't really get the whole American tipping culture. Tipping seems complicated and something of a contentious issue in the U.S.

I'm American and I don't get it.

The "blacks don't tip" stereotype is so far down my list of concerns that it's off the list.

People need to concentrate on getting restaurants to pay decently.

I'm 20% unless the experience was particularly terrible. I mostly want to be left alone while eating so I'm a waiter's dream. Just keep my water glass full and I'll flag you down for the check.

Are you all serious? Who cares about stereotypes? Leave a few bucks or none and leave.

Chances Zoe salanda plays the love interest of a black man? I say 3%

That's pretty much my opinion.

If it's good service, I leave a good tip. Bad? I leave a bad tip. I don't care if it reinforces a stereotype to some waiter. He's a waiter. WTF do I care what he thinks?

Plus I pretty much assume that once people leave my presence they cease to exist anyway. :o

Dear Brotha,

Who is the finest black women in Hollywood right now in your opinion?

disclaimer: personally, I choose Aisha Tyler

Couldn't pick just one but some that come to mind are: Teyonah Parris, Sanaa Lathan, Gugu Mbatha-raw.

I don't know a ton of African American actresses names but Black British actresses such as Antonia Thomas, Gugu Mbatha-raw, Naomie Harris, Marsha Thomason, Nathalie Emmanuel are gorgeous.

The "blacks don't tip" stereotype is so far down my list of concerns that it's off the list.

People need to concentrate on getting restaurants to pay decently.

Any decent restaurant should pay its staff a good living wage. I know the fine dining restaurants here in London pay the staff pretty well because they have high standards and want the best staff.

It is only the terrible restaurants that pay their staff poorly because they don't really care about the quality of service. Tips over here are more like a bonus. It is illegal to use tips as part of a basic salary to pay staff.

I cant say Ive ever had what I would call bad service so I've always tipped. Ive never over-tipped on purpose. Im really stupid when it comes to math so sometimes I'll just put money down regardless of if it's probably overpaying.

However, I think tipping sometimes is stupid.

I used to go to this Chinese buffet in my college town and basically all the waitress did was bring us water/soda. I dont see why I should tip them really.
One time, my friend didnt wanna pay and the waitress (small 5'5 girl) said "You have to give money" and basically bullied him into giving a tip. It was funny to hear the story as I wasn't there. And honestly I would probably wouldve buckled too because I like the restaurant, would like to go back, and I like to avoid confrontation.

Also I think it's stupid when they add gratuity and then ask for an additional tip. I dont get it

I never got the fried chicken stereotype. Damn near everyone who likes chicken likes the taste of fried chicken. So I dont get where the stereotype comes from.

One time one of my friends made a joke about me liking and eating fried chicken and I turned to him and said "[Friend's name] do YOU enjoy fried chicken?"

To me that's the most annoying stereotype mostly because that's the one I hear the most and it's annoying to hear a joke everytime I try and eat a certain thing around my white friends.

Not counting singers I would say Lupita Nyong'o, Paula Patton or Gabrielle Union off the top of my head. Jessica Lucas is really good looking too.

Oooooh...singers too...I'd have Alicia Keys's baby....

... That came out wrong...

... Get it??...

... I'm here all day folks.

Elle Varner> Alicia Keys in every way possible.

You're mathematically incorrect. It should be like this ... <

Elle Varner? You could show a freakin' IMAX movie on her forehead. That chick got a 5 Head. The point I'm trying to make is she ain't that hot.

Im basic when it comes to singers. Beyonce and Kelly Rowland are the hottest. Alicia Keys is the most beautiful. Beauty and hottness is different for me.

I think Tiara Thomas is really good too in the right pictures. When she is shot right she looks incredible to me

Not to impressed with Elle Varner

Elle Varner has a better ass, voice, and album than Alicia Keys does. It's a fact of life. These things can't be argued. I would post comparison pics, but we don't want the cops to show up.

Varner likes to selfie it up on Facebook. Yes, I follow her ass.

No...not it's not at all.

It depends what makes a better ass in your opinion. Some like a bigger ass, some dont
Voice I guess is less subjective, but I'd still put Keys over Varner everything.
and album? I liked Refill and I havent heard Varner's full album, but imo Alicia Keys has at least 2 classic R&B albums under her belt. Songs in a Minor and The Diary of Alicia Keys.

It's all subjective
