You know they didn't do a good job of editing a character out of a picture when the outline of his weapon of choice is still plain as day

(Look at the right, where there should be dark blue lines but aren't)

I hadn't even noticed that the first time I looked at it. About **** a brick when I noticed the outline.

My god damn it was to Storm. I followed her to that hasty marriage to Black Panther, I kind of follow her everywhere. I could give a rats ass about the movie line up as I think it sucks.

The movie line up is good....for a movie. In the comics, it's just boring.

It's a fresh start with Thor on the Avengers again. I'll give it a try. I guess I'm not done giving Bendis chances on the Avengers after all.

Storm as an Avenger is kind of stupid, though. I'm kind of bored of seeing X-Men as Avengers. Plus I'm not a Storm fan. Could've put someone cool like Iceman or Shadowcat on the team instead.

Nightcrawler would be cool as an Avenger. His power would actually be useful too. Not a lot of teleporters on the Avengers over the years.

I like seeing X-Men on the Avengers but prefer it when they aren't X-Men simultaneously. Beast on Secret Avengers has been good for this reason but now he's joining Wolverine's X-Men team so screw that I suppose.

Beast, Wolverine, and Storm on both X-Men and Avengers is just annoying. I swear I hate that about Marvel these days. I think it brings the whole company down a notch.

Beast's just running the school (probably my favorite line in Regenesis, by the way ). Think of it as his day job; he moonlights with the Secret Avengers, stopping underground problems before they spill out into the open and threaten the world (which, of course, makes him the most awesome principle/headmaster ever). The principle/headmaster can always take a day off and leave the day-to-day stuff to the rest of the staff.

I wonder if Storm is joining the Avengers to be around real heroes. Cyclops pretty much told her that she's going to be his only moral compass after the split, which is a lot of pressure. Maybe she joins the Avengers to get a dose of how proper heroes operate so she can then pass that onto Cyclops. Or maybe I'm giving this too much thought and she'll join just 'cause.

I read somewhere that Slott wanted Nightcrawler when he was taking over "Mighty Avengers", but the higher-ups said no.

That would've been a great idea i think. And honestly, i kinda dig storm on the Avengers. I think they kinda need a strong female character like that on their team, cause let's face it, Spider-Woman and Ms Marvel aren't really doing anything anyway.

Wolverine is the headmaster, not Beast.

Id have to agree. I wish they'd pick a side adn stick with that for a while. You dont see any Avengers simultaneously being X-men at the same time. If that were the case, I'd love it for Quicksilver to finally become an official X-men. Heck, Id even take him back in X-factor

STORM Joins The Avengers!







Marvel have announced that Storm is set to join the Avengers early next year, as part of Steve Rogers' recruitment drive which may see characters like Monica Rambeau, Vision, Ghost Rider, Falcon and Hercules sign up. While the actual first Storm issue has yet to be confirmed-----


UPDATE: Her first appearance will be in January's issue #21.

So they replace the God of thunder with the Goddess of weather. I still don't think I'd read it from Bendis on a monthly.

The more I keep thinking about it, the more I dislike Black Widow being on a mainstream Avengers roster. She totally belongs in Secret Avengers, but a regular Avengers roster, she just doesn't fit in all that well.

It's a good foundation for an Avengers roster, but it's just really lacking more characters. And considering that this really is the A-list Avengers roster, why wouldn't Marvel put this on I dunno.....the main Avengers book!
