Kane you should have done opening sequence. It's one of the best scenes of the movie.

I prefer this score over the entire TDK Trilogy scores by Zimmer and co.

I wouldnt exactly go that far but its a pretty big fight for the top spot..
I like the way the Nolan series gradually added to each existing track, Risen from Darkness is probably amongst the best..

Batman breaking through the skylight and crashing the Nigma party was great all around. The opening credits all the way through Batman arriving at the scene was well done, even "i'll get drive thru" worked.

As far as scenes:
-Batman breaking through skylight
-Batman popping out of the shot up elevator
-Batman diving off the building to chase Two-Face (still no clue how he wound up on roof and face on floor)
-Batwing and Batboat passby
-Batwing bursts through Riddler symbol in sky

I love Batman Forever. I think it's hugely entertaining. Whereas Burton's movies took a lot from film noir and 30's horror movies, Schumacher's try to get closer to the feel of comics themselves. You can decry Schumacher's Batman as 'unfaithful to the comics' if you like, but only if you're naive enough to not be aware of Batman's full seventy year existence.

Forever combines the light-hearted with the darker aspects very well indeed. The Riddler is hilarious, but he's also unhinged and creepy. Dick's story arc and Batman's attempts to stop him following his path contain elements as dark as anything in Nolan and Burton's films. Bruce telling Dick, in the shadows of the Batcave, that if he follows his path, his whole life will become about revenge, and then letting him make his own choice - and Dick ultimately saving Two-Face. It's great stuff, and combines so much material from the comics to create a perfect hybrid version of Robin. At the time the film was released, everyone was surprised just how much effort went into Robin; making him a believable modern kid and someone who Batman would take with him to fight crime. He's angry, brooding and wants someone to take his pain out on. Bruce doesn't take away the pain, he just helps him harness it for a good cause. A far cry from Burt Ward.

The original Batchelor script for Batman 3 is one of the best superhero scripts ever written, make sure you find a copy. The film itself isn't as good and misses vital stuff (such as the red book and the giant bat), but Peter David's novelisation is the closest you'll get to the full version of the story.

Well, if anything can be said in favor of this movie is what Roegele said: it's the only time I've seen Robin as a convincing and good character. Well, maybe not Robin but Dick Grayson.

I've always thought Batman forever was a better film than Batman Returns and a close 2nd to Batman 89. My only complaint was that they made both Two-Face and The Riddler insaneand both were Joker-esque .

For years I taught this movie was as bad as Batman & Robin, but some people convinced me to give it another chance.

It was actually very good movie. But It felt like I was watching two different movies.

All Bruce Wayne scene were amazing, especially the flashbacks, and yet all the villain scenes were ridiculous.

I still want to know how Batman was able to send the vault back into place perfectly in the same exact position it was in prior to being pulled out of the wall.

I absolutely agree.

nipples aside, i thought the suit in this film was awesome

So was his sonar suit at the end. It was also silver...just reminding those of you who say we've never gotten anything other than a black Batsuit on-screen.

I agree. The cowl is my favorite part about it, in my opinion the best batcowl put on screen so far. I own one of the Screen Used cowls.

Watched this last week. It really isn't a bad movie, it's just really cheesy and campy in places. It's pretty obvious that there's a delineation between Batman, who takes things seriously, and the villains, who are having fun wreaking havoc, and that the "duality" of the film is designed to be just that, duality, and indicative of the two lives that Bruce Wayne/Batman leads. It's a pretty well made film.

I'm sorry... but that Panther suit was beautiful.

Yeah minus the nips it might be the best live action suit of them all.

Also in the film, I still think it has the best opening of any Batman film, the fight with Two Face's goons outside the elevator is awesome.

I agree. The belt was awesome. Just wish he had had the cape covering him in a few scenes.

And the sonar suit.... I see a lot of that in the Batman Begins suit.

I thought the same thing, I had an action figure back in '95 that looked like the Begins suit funnily enough.

Val Kilmer's recent, funny and accurate account of how playing Batman is like being an old man. :oldrazz:

"There's about six reasons.
You need help getting dressed. It takes about 45 minutes to get undressed.
You need help going to the bathroom.
You can't hear anymore, because it's plastic.
And then when you call out for help no one comes.
In between takes, you're like a mannequin.
You're in a kind of lounge chair and you're like, 'Daisy, can I have some water?' No one comes. It literally has to be fed in… you have to have a straw."
