Jones is so over the top in this movie, maybe even more so than Jim Carrey.

Yep, until Joel Schumacher/Warner Bros give us the long promised 'director's cut', we don't know what scenes were cut for time or the director's vision. If they were never meant to be included, then fair enough, but we don't know that. But how can you say they don't count when they explain certain plot points that are already there in the existing cut of the film (IE: the red diary, Batman's 'retirement'?

Which will never happen unless a fan pulls a Thief & the Cobbler and do their version to restore the deleted scenes

Yeah it's a good opening. The only time he's really Two-Face and not some Joker character dressed as Two-Face.
