Ward will move up to Light Heavy anyway eventually and he's got tests against Kovalev and Adonis Stevenson. Which I think will be big tests for him but expect him to deal with both of them. If he fights Kovalev that's gonig to be awesome fight.

Golovkin will eventually move up to Super Middleweight but not after cleaning up the Middleweight division.
I honestly don't think Adonis Stevenson has one thing for Ward, but I could be wrong. A Kovalev fight though, I like.

Donaire is the perfect comparison to GGG because of his one punch power until he got into the ring with Rigo. Name me one good fighter other than Stevens(who's decent)that GGG has fought. He hasn't fought anyone yet. And I don't buy this "everyone is afraid to fight him" bs either. Again, he's good but he's a smaller Dontay Wilder, just unproven.
Except I just gave you a couple of examples of why they are different fighters and why GGG has a better skill set. GGG is not a one punch guy. He knows how to work the body and put combinations together quite well. Watch the Stevens fight. How he broke him down. Walked him back.

And are we really going to get into who GGG beat? Because Sergio's best win is Paul Williams. Who before his accident fought short and walked into lefts like he liked it. :funny:

Didn't Froch call out GGG?
Of course he did. His new PED body doesn't change that he likes to call out guys who are past it or much smaller. :funny:

You sound like a 2 year old with all the name calling. :whatever: His name is Floyd Mayweather. You only show your bias(Paq fan and you can deny all your want but your posts say other wise)when you constantly result to name calling. And for someone who says they are all to blame, you clearly only talk about Mayweather. Mayweather always fights in May so why is Arum calling on him to fight in April? Because he knows he doesn't want the fight. And why is he only fighting the same merry go round of the same fighters? Marquez 5?!??! Are you serious!??But yet, that's a viable option.

And Amir 'China Chin' Khan is the best available option for Fraud? Give me a f-ing break. Explain that one! Explain how that fight isn't the definition of cherry picking and how that's the best fight available. That fight is as much bs as a 5th Marquez/Pac fight.

Despite Khan's glass chin, he only has 3 losses. I believe he's 28-3 or close to it. His chin is suspect but he is a credible opponent. Is he a good opponent for Mayweather? Absolutely not! I think Mayweather should fight Maidana because guys like Thurman and Garcia are not ready yet. Paq has 5 losses with 3 draws. How he constantly comes up to fight Mayweather is beyond me. Plus if you look at Khan's style, other than his chin, his hand speed and constant pressure may give Mayweather problems, though if I'm a gambling man, I'm betting the farm on Money.

As far as cherry picking, name another guy really that's ready now that fights for Showtime? There really isn't. He's in a lose-lose situation. If he fights and beats Thurman, he fought him to soon. Same with Garcia. If he fights Manny now, he fought when he was a shot fighter. No matter what, people like you won't be happy until he's fighting one of the Klits.

What? Garcia destroyed Khan! Garcia is more deserving than Khan. I have a better chance at winning the lottery, getting struck by lightning, and banging a Victorias Secret model all in one day than Khan beating Mayweather. The Khan fight sucks and i guarantee you it will do less than the Guerrero fight here in the states.

Fighters more deserving than Khan:

Maidana is credible and deserves a shot.
Thurman is older than Canelo and would be a better option than Khan
Shawn Porter, holds IBF belt
Provodnikov
Bradley

Then at 154 there's Lara. Why not Lara? Everyone is so anxious to see Lara/Canelo, but Canelo easily got defeated by Mayweather, so why not Lara vs Mayweather?

Garcia has made it clear he doesn't want the Mayweather fight at this time because he's not interested in moving up or quite possibly knows he not ready. Thurman also isn't ready just yet. I will give you Maidana deserves a shot. But also about Khan, he's got some pretty good wins under his belt. If you look at his 3 losses, only Garcia and someone else whom I've forgotten were legit while Peterson's is suspect because he was using PED's at the time. Either way, I plan on watching the fight in May regardless.

The Khan fight is a farce and a disservice to boxing fans, it's just a fight to pad his record. Khan has absolutely no shot at beating Mayweather.

Just like the Pac/Rios fight, I will not buy into this nonsense and will only read about it the next day and see it only if they replay it for free the following week.

Khan got dropped by shopworn journeyman Julio Diaz in his last fight, it wasn't a trip, or a flash knockdown, no, it was a three punch combo that dropped him.

This fight sucks and you know it.

It is not a fight to pad his record. If the fight does happen, it is because it will make him an incredible amount of money.

The only reason Khan is going to (probably) get the fight is Floyd's desire to become bigger globally, starting with the UK, which is naturally the easiest transition. He's been saying he wanted to do that for at least 2 years now. And if it's at Wembley Stadium or someplace like that, the gate would be huge, and obviously Floyd is concerned about his money first and foremost.

Khan, technically, is a very accomplished boxer, and he does have heart. But he can't take any sort of fire and we all know this. Whether Floyd puts pressure to him or not, at some point, he'll probably catch him with something solid enough to call it a night.

And there's the problem, what exactly is Floyd supposed to do? As others have mentioned, Paq now is a lose-lose situation. Bradley, ehhh, and besides that, almost anything dealing with Top Rank most likely won't happen. I think Devon Alexander would be alright from a boxing standpoint, but he's not a name. Garcia, he knows himself that he's not ready and probably too small anyway. Assuming Cotto is still around and wanting a fight, who knows how he'll look. Floyd willingly engaged him the first time, if he wanted to, he could have kept himself off the ropes and made it far easier, if there's a rematch, I'm almost certain that's exactly what would happen.

I agree with pretty much everything you wrote.

The Khan situation is tricky, because as you said Floyd has wanted to have another "Hatton" fight for awhile now, this time in the UK. He likes the sound of Wembley and another gate record.

But Khan, unlike Canelo hasn't held up his end of the bargain. All he has had to do was not lose in the dramatic fashion he has. He could have got away with the Peterson lose because of the PEDs, but what Danny Garcia did to him....

If it's Wembley Stadium for Khan V Mayweather that's 90,000 seat stadium plus you 'd need to fill up around the football pitch. That's a lot of $$$£££ when you include pay per view's on both side of the Atlantic.

I've been going to various websites and Paq has been pretty vocal about wanting the Matweather fight now, while Arum has been very vocal about him fighting the same 2-3 guys. Conflict of interest? Hopefully Paq calls Floyd, not about the fight but to buy him out of his contract. Dude is slowly having his career killed with Arum.

Martinez V Cotto finalised for June 7th at Madison Square Garden apparently. i'd fancy Cotto in that seeing as Martinez would have last fought in April 2013. So 14 months without fighting and coming back from an injury.

I will gladly take that bet. Cotto is about to get slaughtered.

Man there sure is a lot of G-D hypocrisy going on in this thread. Pac fights Rios, the fight is called a farce, Pac is doing it because Rios is a slow plodding bum. Pac is this and that for fighting Rios.

All of a sudden, Fraud Mayweather is about to fight Khan and this fight is interesting, it should be made to get Fraud global recognition, it will fill up Wembly Stadium, Khan is an accomplished boxer, a credible opponent, he's the best possible opponent. Buuulllllllll S***********T

Khan sucks, I already explained in my previous posts why, and he is a worse fighter than Rios. Bam Bam would skull f*** Kahn, I guarantee Rios would not struggle with Julio friggen Diaz and would not get dropped by him.

Mayweather wants to call Khan the Con Artist, but it's Fraud that's the real CON artist. He is basically going to fool a country into selling out their stadium into thinking Khan has a shot at winning, he's going to fool the casual boxing fan into thinking Khan has a shot at winning and he's continuing into con his fanbase into thinking this is a legit opponent.

Who thinks the Amir Khan fight is interesting for Floyd? Certainly not amongst the people I talk boxing with and I'm guessing those who are into their boxing. Everyone knows the result of the fight should this be confirmed which is a mayweather KO mid to late rounds. While Floyd may not have much power he is accurate with his punches and once it connects to Amirs chin then he'll do the chicken dance.

Anyway happy new year guys.

The reason myself and others are standing up for Mayweather is because of people like Iron Stark who find it ok for Manny to fight the same 3 fighters the last three years but want Mayweather to go up and fight GGG. I like Mayweather and I like Manny but I can't stand the hypocrisy of when people want Mayweather to go up and fight Hopkins and Ward but when guys like Sergio call out Paq, he's to small for those guys. That's why I come off as a Floyd fan because I can't stand the hypocrisy.

Happy New Year's guys! Friday night fights starts back up this month with the return of Vicious Victor Ortiz. I get the feeling he's going to lose though. :csad:

Go up and fight Ward or Hopkins? When the hell did I ever say that? Tell you what, quote me where I said Fraud should fight Ward or Hopkins and I will leave this forum for good.

GGG like Martinez would make sense since they are small middle weights and never weigh in at 160. But GGG, like Martinez, Fraud would never step inside the same building with him.

Look a couple of posts up, I already said who I think he should fight. So quit putting words in my mouth!

Floyd aint going up to 160lbs (Middleweight) the most you'll get is 155lb (1lb over Light Middle) catchweight. So Golovkin is out of the question. Martinez is as well you won't get him coming down now at this stage of his career.
Ward and Hopkins are definitely no go. I know Bernard said he would be willing to make a catchweight fight but he was just playin I doubt he's serious.

Dude is what an analogy. By saying he should go up and fight GGG, you might as well say he should fight Ward. Why doesn't GGG fight Andre Ward? And you are speaking hypocrisy when you say in one breath Floyd should fight Sergio and GGG but when it comes to Manny, he's to small when Sergio gladly said he'd come down to 150. Nothing sounds funny about that to you?!

Again, quote me where I said Pac is too small to fight Martinez or GGG, quote me where I said Martinez and GGG are too small to fight Ward or Hopkins! Quote me otherwise ****.

Its funny how Cotto has fought Mayweather and Pac, signed on to fight Martinez in June, yet Mayweather is too small to fight Martinez.:whatever:

Umm, who said all that?! The only thing I, and others, said was that from a money perspective (and he IS Money Mayweather) fighting Khan is the logical thing to do, and something he's been wanting to do for a couple years. NOBODY said Khan had a chance of winning anything or was the best possible opponent, I don't know where you're getting all that.

And the fact is, Rios was, once again, made to order for Paq. He's the same type of fighter Manny's had the most success with over the years and was a logical opponent to put him back in contention. And there's nothing really wrong with that coming off a loss, but call a spade a spade, it is what it is.

Martinez, at least a couple years ago, said he would be willing to drop weight for Floyd only, not Manny, so once again, I don't know where all this is coming from.

Should Floyd be forced into some match with Sergio? IMO, no! Regardless of a catchweight or not, Martinez is still a bigger framed man, and I don't feel it's necessary for his legacy, because people like you have their minds made up about Floyd and his place in history anyway, that fight won't make a difference, just like the Alvarez fight made no difference.

But do I think Floyd would beat Sergio? Absolutely! Not saying it would be cakewalk of any kind, but I do think he'd do just enough to win. He just shouldn't have to do that to prove anything, there's nothing left to prove. At least there shouldn't be to any fan or media personality with a rational mind...

Like I said HYPOCRISY, where is the Fraud backlash? Where are the negative posts coming from you and Doc like ya'll had for the Rios/Pac fight?

And what I'm saying is right then, all he fights for is money, to pad his record and CON people into thinking he's something that he's not.

Shouldn't fight Martinez? gtfo, just like a prime Cotto, prime Margarito, prime Mosley, Paul Williams, and so on and so on, Mayweather shouldn't fight Martinez because everyone can assume he'd win. :whatever:

Mayweather has his place in history alright, biggest waste of talent, wouldn't take on the best opponents in his era and only fighting for himself and his bank account. That's how he's going to be remembered.

And as far as saying that there's nothing really wrong Pac fighting Rios coming off a loss, B. S.! Now you want to change your tune, now you want to make that fight more reasonable since you're seeing your hero pick the worst possible opponent available, someone that wouldn't last an afternoon as Rios' sparring partner.

OK, so do you honestly believe Paq could beat Canelo? What about a Garcia or Thurman or even a Broner? If so, why is he fighting the same 2-3 guys every year? Why can't he fight GGG, like everyone wants him to, even though he's not even in the same weight class? You hate Mayweather so much you don't see the lunacy in your posts.
