Also Luke Cage hates guns which is why it was weird when those actors kept making fan films/show reels of themselves as Cage had him using guns.

Even when he was in his street gang his fists were his weapons.

I don't get it either. I mean, it would be one thing if he didn't have a role in the MCU already, but he does, so theres no way he would ever get to be Luke Cage or any other Marvel character in the MCU for that matter. I'm really tired of his name being brought up. It would be like people suggesting Chris Evans for Iron Fist or something.

I got some issues about the casting of Luke Cage.
If they are casting all The Defenders around the same age, and Charlie Cox has 31, I think they will sign someone younger than Terry Crews.
And this is my suggestions:

If they look somebody with acting skills, I vote for Nate Parker

or Treme's star Rob Brown.

Both got strong performances on their careers. But I dont think they will bulk up so fast as needed and Parker is a little short for the role.

If they look someone most ripped, I suggest I suggest Ricky Whittle

the soap opera star Lawrence Saint-Victor

or Amin Joseph.

I don't think I could by Ricky Whittle as Cage. Nate Parker could work.

I think for Luke Cage you need an actor who looks and can play a reformed tough street kid but also has that good guy trying to do right quality.

My top pick is Henry Simmons, formerly of NYPD blue, has the looks, is 6'5" and charismatic

This photo doesn't do him justice. I originally thought this was an soft choice but Henry Simmons recent stint in Agents of Shield has proved me wrong. I actually thought he was playing Cage in the opening scene, and it was a surprise cameo.

Psych is one of my top 10 shows of all time. Love Dule Hill. Very underrated actor.

But cannot see him playing a tough guy like Luke Cage. But if he gets it I'll be happy for him

He'll have to change his voice a lot though to sound like a ghetto/urban tough guy

I kind of want it to be true because I don't want to wait another year to find out whos playing Luke Cage. If the bit about Marvel wanting to unveil Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist's leads at NYCC is true I will be one happy camper
