yea i never heard that reeve wore a wig, from what i know he did dye his lighter colored hair dark for the role.

Eric Bana is still my top choice for Jor-El.

In the films, they usually go for a very elderly Ma Kent for some reason. Dana's not that old yet. Incidentally, when she was a lot younger, she would have made a perfect Lois.

Well I personaly hope they go more the Smallville route and use a ma and pa Kent in their mid 50's. And I would have loved to have seen Dana actually play Lois.

Reeve died his hair and he wore a hair piece. You can even see pictures of his hair piece on the net.

hmm didnt know he did have a wig. what was wrong with his natural hair during filming of superman film? O

Yea i made a comment before i really hope this time around we get to see alot more supporting dp/star labs/cop characters appear in this film series. Be it cameos with chances in sequels to have more expanded roles. Also i would through jerry O'Connell's name in for lombard myself.

Yeah, I really hope that's the one thing they take from Smallville. The midwest grandparents route is getting old (no pun intended). It'd be great to see a fresher approach to the family dynamics.

Delaney would be a great Ma Kent. She's absolutely fantastic in every way.

Who knows? Maybe Reeve didn't feel like coloring his hair black [from its natural brown] anymore and opted to go with a wig in later sequels.

I was actually surprised to find out recently that Jeff East (who portrayed young Clark) not only wore a wig, but a fake nose piece to look more like Reeve [in Superman The Movie]. (East's nose is naturally sort of bulbous compared to Reeve's very narrow, straight nose.)

And that's not all! After East was done with shooting for his part in the film, they subsequently dubbed his voice with Reeve's. Apparently East wasn't too thrilled about it. Poor guy must have serious self esteem issues nowadays. :hehe:

Didnt Delany voice Lois in the animated series? They cant have her in the movie because we will be hearing Lois' voice from a different character.
just imagine casting Clancy Brown as Perry White.

So what? Annette O'Toole portrayed Lana in S3; and she also plays Ma Kent in Smallville. Most people don't seem to have a problem with that. I, for one, think it's great.

I've always thought his nose looked funny.

It also didn't stop them from using Terrence Stamp as the AI Jor-El voice on Smallville.

You're right. Hell, Chris Reeve himself portrayed a very different character on Smallville. Incidentally, that show had some great guest stars for the last 10 years or so. Reeve, Kidder, Stamp [voice], Dean Cain, Lynda Carter, Annette O'Toole (once a series regular), and more to come I'm sure.

Ian McShane for Morgan Edge.

You also had Michael Ironside as Darkseid on S:TAS/JLU and Gen. Sam Lane on SV.

yea its always cool when they bring in former supes folks in other adaptions.

Why's the site so slow? Or is that just me?

How about Dana Delany for Ma Kent? I think she still looks really good for her age(54) plus she was also the voice for Lois in Superman: TAS. Here is a picture from about a year ago: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Desperate_Housewives_at_2008_GLAAD_Awards.jpg

Yeah, that's a great idea.

I don't think usually's the right word. There have only been two cinematic Ma Kents, not counting the 1948 serial, and they were both playing the same version of the character, so they had to be around the same age.

I can't believe you never noticed that before. I think it's most obvious when Clark and Pa Kent are walking together just before Pa Kent's heart attack. Clark's nose is a very different colour from his face.

Didnt Delany voice Lois in the animated series? They cant have her in the movie because we will be hearing Lois' voice from a different character.

That's a very strange view.

I think Brian Denehey would've been a great choice for perry a few years back, he's a little too old now. Can you think of anyone comparable?
