Looks like what I said about Tom Hardy being cast in either Batman 3 or the next Superman film, since Mad Max was indefinitely put on hold came to pass.

He will be in Batman 3.

For now, Zod is a rumor but Ive got a feeling that he's in, especiall with Zach's recent quote stating that the story is dealing with a younger Superman.

If makes me think that it's Zod because Zod will challenge Superman's heritage and his alligence to his people. Or what's left.

But at the same time, I don't know how they would bring Zod in with mentioning the Phantom Zone. Or better yet, maybe he was caught by Brainiac (instead of just having Kandor) and they form a team up against Brainiac. Then they can set up the Krypotian angle in a sequel.

I see somebody suggested Jared Padalecki, so if we're looking at CW younglings... I gotta suggest James Lafferty.

I don't watch One Tree Hill, but I used to catch it on the TV from time to time and thought this guy was pretty tall and good looking. Wouldn't make a bad younger Superman. But he really is young, only 25 years old.

I love the guy and he's got a great look for the part, but I dont think his acting is quite up to snuff for the part.

Once again, Lafferty is really young, younger than when Routh got the part. And yet he's had more experience than Routh, he's been acting since he was 16. That's why I see him as combination between Brandon Routh (because he's really young) and Tom Welling (because he has experience and he's also an aspiring director).

All I hope for is that Superman is shown to kick some serious serious ass... I don't want to see this sort of crap where the villain beats him badly the Superman just barely manages to come out on top

What should happen is after getting beaten, Superman then comes back with such overwhelming force that he beats the literal living HELL out of the main villain... that's how it should be... not some stupid Oh one last barely in the nick of time move that gets rid of the villain... Superhero films do this so often and it's just so damn disappointing...

the only recent film that showed the heroes really kicking some serious ass at the end is IM 2...
