Brainiac - Alexander Skarsgard

This is a "realistic" cast, all of them have chances to be in this film, they've never been in a superhero movie yet, they're popular, respectable, but they aren't expensive superstars.

I wouldnt mind Hamm except he actually does look old enough to be her dad

Oops, mixed up my pairings. Routh + Erica, Hamm + Cox.

What about James Gandolfini for Perry White

interesting. While not an obvious choice that comes to mind, it's not bad.

how about hugh laurie again? Liam neeson?

Gandolfini would be better for Dan Turpin

He wouldnt make a bad Perry either

I was just thinking today and I though James Gandolfini would be great as Perry White

I was never sold on Hugh Laurie but that was before I saw House he'd be interesting.

Liam Neeson isn't right in my opinion, I don't get a Perry vibe from him at all.

Oh god, Hugh Laurie as a House-esque Perry White? It will be awesome!

- **** you village boy, this story is crap. Either write a better one, or go back to boning your sister in your barn.
- I dont have a sister sir.
- Well then, you better write me a better story!

I have to say that I like your choices. The only person I really didn't feel was Lois. I'd prefer Stroup, Greene, Wilde just to name a few of my favorites.

and it is just me or does Elizabeth Mitchell look like a blonde Clone of Carrie Anne Moss?

I don't really understand why so many people will dismiss certain actors for Superman because they're too old, but there never seems to be any sort of age cap on who can play Lex Luthor. What people often seem to forget is that in the comics, Lex and Superman are the same age, and the same is true with the cartoons and most of the other TV incarnations. The only version of Superman that broke with this was Donner's version, which Singer emulated. I'd prefer that this time they broke with Donner's "tradition" and actually stuck with how Lex is portrayed in the comic books.

At any rate, Jason Isaacs would be a much better choice for Brainiac than Lex.
That's actually not true. All through the history of the comics, Lex has always been older than Superman. The only exceptions were the Silver Age story where he is friends with Superboy, even then, like in Smallville, Lex was still a few years older; and in the 90's, when Lex cloned himself and became Lex Luthor II.
They are closer in age in Birthright, though Lex is actually a year or two older I believe. I'm not really sure about Secret Origin as I haven't had a chance to read it yet. They seem to be around the same age from what I've seen, but Lex may still be a year or two older.

Also, Lex is older than Clark in Lois & Clark and in the original Superman serials with Kirk Alyn (just Luthor at the time). I can't remember a time when Lex showed up on the George Reeve's show.

Wow, never thought of him before. I think I'd actually rather see him than Yelchin now. Such an underrated actor

Thanks. I like Wilde, she's definitely one of my top choices for Lois, but I'm personally not feeling Stroup or Greene. I'm unsure of Stroup's acting ability, and I think she looks kind of like Bosworth did, a little too young and "girly." I think Greene has potential, actually, I'm not sure if this is the right role for her though. Not a bad choice, however.

Superman - Henry Cavill:

Lois Lane - Michelle Monaghan:

Perry White - Michael Keaton:

Brainiac - Vincent Cassel:

Or, if Cassel's accent is an issue, Benedict Cumberbatch would be just as awesome, imo:

Jor-El - Jon Hamm:

And unfortunately, my top choice for Lex Luthor for over two years now, Mark Strong, has since been cast as every villain under the sun. And my 2nd choice, Tom Hardy, is now in TDKR. So I'm just gonna throw my wild card choice out, as he's also in Snyder's Sucker Punch - Oscar Isaac:

Oh, and Anton Yelchin for Jimmy Olsen, btw.
