The Official Colossus/Daniel Cudmore thread

it seems that Daniel still hasn't any interesting role apart from the X-men...

I don't think Daniel really takes acting all that seriously to tell you the truth. From his Myspace alone, he seems more like this just might be some fun side project, because he really just seems to love living a life. Something you really can't do once you get super big stardom.

Its sad how actors miss normal life. :csad:

Yeah he does seem to just be along for the ride type. If he needs money he can just join the WWE...or something else crazy

He would be smart to try and WWE Vince McMahon has a hard-on for guys over 6`6

Also i`m pretty sure he got a nice payoff from X3. So now he just is relaxing and enjoying life.

well....i might of possibly seen him in an add but im really not sure if its him, its for liek hot choclate or sumfin and theres a woman at one of them speed dating things and it goes thru the odd guys shes meeting and then a tall guy appears in the seat opposite and goes " hi" then it goes to the next dude i really aint sure its him tho lol its an add in the uk btw

I wonder what though the writers about Colossus when writed the script. I can't believe they were happy just with that one line.

I say, it feels more pathetic to throw that one line in there, than it would if he didn't speak at all...it was like, oh, we better give him a line in here somewhere...I would've much rather seen him do stuff in the film and not speak, than them just THROW a line in there FOR him.

They were too busy trying to add members who really didnt push the plot forward, than to focus on mutants that had already been introduced. It was like a mutant battle royale were everyone beside the bigger names got eliminated under 2 min.

it was like, oh, we better give him a line in here somewhere

yes, I think that was the case. But that should has been from Fox, becuase I really don't believe the writers did that and were happy with it.

I would've been 50% more happy with him if they had worked on and finished the scene of Colossus ramming and shattering that giant mutant during the climax. More teamwork = :D

Me too! And that 'giant mutant' was Phat, who we 'd sen earlier in the church meeting....

So odd that they showed Colossus walking off with Cyclops' TV set!!! :wow: :wow:

I think he should have been in the room with the others, after Xavier's funeral and have one line, showing his opinion, in fact he should have said one line of Bobby, that in the novel is his. don't know how it is in original language, but in Spain is something like this "some of us don't have where to go".

And in the scene of the x-men, in the wall, before go to battle, he should have said something too. You know, although he has a little role in the franchise, one line per scene is just fine, showing he has an opinion and a personality.

After watching X3 for the first time in a few months I`ve decided that I hate Bret Ratner and Fox for screwing Colossus in X3. It wouldnt have been that hard to give him a couple lines and have him do alittle more during the last battle but ohwell....hopefully they release X3 directors cut or something

I remember reading or hearing somwhere that the writers said that the first half of the movies was all them but Bret and Fox took over and changed the second half and i`m sure when budget started creepin in that Colossus vs Juggs was the first thing to go.....Fox is dumb

I think the scene where pete says "yeh she took off" could definitely have been expanded, to a small conversation between him and bobby that would have been better that just that one line, but I guess the writers focussed too much on expanding storm's role they neglected colossus!
And i agree. Honestly it seems like daniel is only doing acting for fun, because he seems to really like sports.

I think that Daniel has a realistic view of life and feels that acting can only last for so long and take him so far so he is not taking it to seriously. I dont think he wants to quit acting, but at the same time I dont think he will cry if doesnt get a certain role.

I really dont see why has hasnt appeared in many other roles though, he has quite a female and even male following so he shoud have gotten at least a few guest spots and movies. He has a great speaking presence and seems naturally comfortable talking.

^ I totally agree with you there. A lot of wannabe actors spend so much time and money on making it big, that if it doesnt happen it would be a big blow but the fact that daniel is optimisitic is good to see.

I once thought daniel was quite shy, only because his role is small in the movies but watching him in interviews and stuff, we see hes actually very friendly and chatty. I think maybe because of his size it may be hard to cast him, as he would need to have a certain look, but i think if he auditioned for tv shows maybe it could boost his career.

Action movies and comedies frequently look for big guys! Hopefully he can land in some more flicks. Last I heard he was doing stunt work.

^ really? Then he may be in luck! I wouldnt mind seeing him in a comedy, or an action film. He seems to be good doing stunts, he said he enjoyed doing stunt work so we'll see :)
