Well I dont know if they actually look for them but I do know its more likely for him to be cast in those types rather than a drama or love romance thing (that is not about sports).

Maybe there's some way we can put forward a petition to give colossus a bigger role, he was always my favourite character in the comics.

anyway Im glad there's a place for us fans to discuss cudmore and his acting. Whenever I talk to my friends about colossus they have no idea who he is unless I reference the movie "the big guy who threw wolverine in the danger room"

Maybe next time he'll get more to do. In X3, he had become an X-Men member, used the fastball special and took part in the battle scenes. It was a limited role, but he was more involved in the team than in X2. I guess it's happening in stages.

I wonder what though the writers about Colossus when writed the script. I can't believe they were happy just with that one line.

They were happy with what they wrote. That doesn't mean everything they wrote ended up appearing on screen. Even if I loved the movie, the original script was far better than what they filmed and that was what the writers were talking about in their Q&A, not the final product.

maybe they'll go a different direction à la Rogue and Bobby...and have Piotr paired up with...um...Siryn? hahha. Who knows, they could come up with something weird based on what would work better in the movie.

Yeah I like Colossus and Kitty as well. She could turn to him for comfort after she gets rejected by Bobby in X4.

I kind of wish they drop the whole Bobby possibly liking kitty or kitty possibly liking Bobby thing. I feel that the whole lovers triangle thing to tired out, and overplayed in cinema. I would rather have kitty realizing that Rogue and Bobby are a better fit for each other.

I totally agree, it can be a tad annoying after a while. I'd prefer seeing colossus getting a bigger role and developing a relationship with kitty.
But then again before seeing the movie I wouldnt have pictured bobby and rogue together.

Actually he recently took a trip to Thailand and looks to be just enjoying life with no worries. He is also doing stuntwork last I heard. He has new pictures of his trip on his myspace page.
