Once again, a fantastic job Wams!:up::up:

it's not that different/better from what we got, but nice job on the image. i don't see a need to add red with the attempt of breaking up the blue. it's already broken up.

thats good art, but im not a fan of the design. he can have red hips but not red trunks?

I'm not a fan of the red hip patches either. I think the manip posted a couple pages back is the best variation (outlining the MOS belt with red). if you are going to ditch the trunks, don't add red patches. just make the traditional yellow/gold belt more prominent. It does the task of breaking up the blue perfectly. The whole point of getting rid of the trunks, in my opinion, based on the other design elements of the MOS suit, is to give it a modern, futuristic scifi unitard aesthetic. Unitards are used in scifi because they look practical, seemless, and beyond fashion. They are traditionally visually an indication of a society that has evolved beyond vanity and focuses on utility and function. Ditching the trunks plays upon that aspect of Superman's character and Kryptonian heritage. Don't undermine it by adding poor substitutes for the traditional trunks.

Cool designs. I'd like to see someone try to revamp the costume completely though, really think outside the box. I'd give it a shot but I don't have the time :(

Im loving the costume even on manips like this! Love the look of it. Means I'll love the real deal even more, the costume is gonna look fantastic on the big screen no doubt (just like it does on the official released pic).

I agree entirely. The red bits look like panels from a girdle and the belt thing looks like some kind of clunky necklace round his waist giving the whole thing an effeminate appearance. How this is an improvement on the trunks escapes me.
Nice drawing though.

I think I'd like to see more designs that just give the suit long red pants. Sure, it rips off Superboy, but Superboy was derived from Superman to begin with.

^ A lovely poster. I just feel that the costume still needs something in the middle to break up that ocean of blue though....

Perhaps I'll feel different when I see it in motion.

It definitely breaks it up. But it looks goofy while doing so.

I came across this 1940s "flip pin" -- no idea what you do with it -- that looks remarkably similar to the new costume!

i like that one cover with the kid wearing a HUGE top heavy diving outfit that he would never be able to walk in
