Modern does not mean tights either... That is what I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET AT! MAKE THE SUIT OUT OF ANYTHING OTHER THAN SPANDEX OR SR MATERIALS, WHATEVER THAT WAS!

IN FACT THAT IS THE ONLY REASON WHY I WONT GO TO THE THEATRE TO WATCH SPIDEY AMAZING MAN. THE SUIT RUINS THE WHOLE THING!

NO DOUBT THE SUIT WAS A MAJOR REASON WHY SUPERMAN RETURNS FLOPPED!

Spartanite, is that you?:whatever:

Give us a name then, who's this female bodybuilder who did the stunts? Because I know the GUY who was the stuntman and I know his involvement in the project because if his training schedule.

WhWHO YOU GONNA GET TO DON ONN THE SPIDEY SUIT? A GUY WITH NO MUSCLES? OR HER? DIDN'T SPIDEY HAVE "SOME" MUSCLES IN THE FILM WHEN HE WAS FULLY SUITED AND MASKED>>>>?????

Frankly, that's some of the most useless, inept and desperate trolling I've ever seen.

So, did you guys check out the suit for Smallville? What are your thoughts? (And Here We...Go)

Some people love attention, good or bad really.

So anyways. I was thinking about "It's Superman" and I think that uniform (which is basically the Fleischer uniform) is what he uses for most of the book. But he does get the classic uniform at the end. I think that would be interesting.

smallville final episode Supes suit looks good.. hope to see similar suit on man of steel.. looks to me as the same as the sr suit though..

Yeah with brighter colors. Looks cool but they are hiding the the mid section for some reason... And I'm one of those "The SR \S/ is too small guys.

The costume in the latest picture seems slightly different. The cape behind the ice in the Prophecy pictures looks like it has enough material for two capes, which is likely just for dramatic effect in that particular shot. Also it looks like the \S/ (even though it appears dimensional) doesn't have so much of a ridge as on the SR one. Still has that awful T-shirt neckline though. On second look ,the neckline might be a little more open than on the SR costume.

Yeah me and my brother hate that high tight neckline and with the cape tucked in it looks crowded

It does look like a tshirt

It looks like they brightened the colors, opened the neck a tad and possibly lost the Lines that the SR costume had on the blue parts.

Oh, they've no doubt made changes, they got their own red cape a few years back which originally contained the suit. Hopefully they reddened all of it.

In one episode a few seasons back, they had a sequence where an old (blind?) lady saw Clark's future and they show the cape from behind as he is flying, and it is totally classic with a Yellow \S/ shield (Pretty much the S:TM one). For the sake of continuity, they need to use that look, otherwise it'd mean the old ladies "visions" are a little off lol! Back on topic, I can't wait until they reveal Henry's version!

The cape is supposed to be bright scarlet red

Why does it look so dark and "returns" maroon is it just bad lighting

We are so on the same page.

They did not make changes to the SR costume for Smallville. They just used a different cape. The costume is brighter than in SR because they used filters in the movie that made it look a little different than it was.

I wonder if that if the suit Tom ends up wearing (if he wears one at all.)
It could be they do a quick three second CGI of his head on Brandon Routh's Superman flying off and that's it! (The Superman fans will think this would be awful but the CLOIS fans would think it'd be just right!)

And you know this as fact? Or like the rest of us, you are speculating as to what they have actually changed... or not changed? Just curious.

It is obvious that Dark_Lord was on the actual set and examined the costume first hand!

it would be ridiculous if they just used an SR suit with a few changes, is there no originality left in tv and films these days?

On one hand, I'd say it's budget reasons, and it's only going to be a few minutes at the absolute most, so would it be worth it? But then I remember all the new costumes they've made for the one time guest appearances of heroes like Booster Gold and Blue Beetle and suddenly making a suit from scratch doesn't seem so far fetched.
