not much to complain about with that manip. wouldnt hurt to add a spit curl and pump up the \S/ a touch, but over all that dont look too bad.

I think that s is perfect it retains a fabric look with piping to add texture it look like it might even be stitching

I'm not of fan of the bright red and pale yellow, and the stitching adds to the pajamas look some complain about.

You know, despite our lengthy discussion about the colors, I actually like what you have here. I love that the blue and yellow are soft enough where the costume isn't SCREAMING at you. In this case, the bright red serves as a highlight/accent and not just the loudest part of an already loud uni. If the colors are TOO primary -- it hurts my eyes.

Nicely done.

Did you do much editing to the face or is it drawn from scratch? Im trying to get a Jim Lee Superman hair style. That sharp and short choppy look. Feel like giving it a go?

i did minimal editing to his face. i see what you tried to do, but live action Superman just doesn't look good with spikey-type hair. i'm pretty much done working on this manip, but i'm working on something that's similar.

Yeh i understand, fair enough.

But in saying that he doesnt work with spikey type hair in live action..has there really ever been one to show?

I personally have never really dug any of Supermans hair styles in live action.

I will try find a real picture of what i am after.

there has never been a live action Superman with spikey hair, but the problem with spikey hair on Superman is that spikey hair signifies rebellion and wildness....and Superman is pretty much the exact opposite. he's authorative and civil.

it looks good on people who want an edgier look, but that's not Superman.

No it is the same suit. Once again people fail to understand the colors seen in Superman Returns was not the actual color of the suit. The real colors of the suit were much brighter it wasn't until Singer put that yellow or green filter on the film did the colors become more muted.

If you look at that 'History of Superman' documentary, with the SR footage in it, you'll get a better idea of what the picture/image quality looked like pre-color-correction. The suit was still a bit muted and not particularly vibrant but their color-timing and such for release definitely gave everything a rather muddled look. It wasn't any particular filter put on everything, more an overall 'tone' that they ended up going with...whereas the more 'raw' footage was clearer, albeit less 'stylized'.

It was funny when some people were blaming the Genesis camera...or digital in general..for SR looking the way it did...or as if someone put a muddy filter on the lens. It wasn't the camera...the camera shot things nice and clear. They made the image look that way with final color-correction before mastering it for release.

The problem with the "natural" look is that it can end up becoming too styled looking if you're not careful.

But i guess thats where the difference lies.
I want a more edgier Superman but that doesn't necessarily mean i want him to be like Batman or Wolverine.

I also want the movie to be very stylised with interesting costumes and the lot.
