It looks rather regal. I tried my own redesign once of the costume and made it something like a dress uniform, with the red pants as a differently coloured part of the jacket. I wouldn't mind a collar because it's reminiscent of the helmet Kryptonians wear.

But the fact is, Snyder said he's a fan of Jim Lee and Curt Swan and that makes sense, it justifies a smaller \S/ because of its diamond shape and a medium length cape that ends above the boots. It'll mean it won't repeat the same mistake Singer and his costumer made by giving Superman such a low pantline (which added to a lanky appearance alongside the small shield) and muted colours.
cant anyone try and make costumes that are like what they think we will see? manip a jim lee looking superman suit and make it look real, or as real as possible and add cavill
I agree. Also, I think it might it be interesting to see Clark Kent develop the Superman costume in the film.
I can't get over how amazing this is.Sorry if already posted

Actually they do in the Batman films. It has clasps. I don't see why it would be too much to show the cape being attached.

Some already have.
At the risk of going off topic, Batman's cape, when in glider mode, becomes rigid, and with the clasps being on his chest, instead of looking like batwings it should look like Peacock plumage.
Superman' should look like it's tucked into the collar, and it shouldn't be shown going on because Superman has only one suit up moment-- the shirt rip.
Same hereIf they want classic:

As long as it's recognizable as Superman and isn't gimmicky (i.e., can withstand the test of time), then I'm fine. I have no attachment to any particular design.Am I the only one who's ambivalent on the subject of the Superman costume? Part of me wants to see the classic outfit ripped from the comics, and another part of me is kind of tired of it and wants to see something new.
Batman's entire cape may not be made of the memory fabric, it may just be the 'fingers' of the Bat-wing shape.
But it has to be put on the costume at some point. Is it offensive to show that moment? Or to drop a line about how it's attached.
Still don't like it
The look of being metallic is not a good look for him it's too (no pun intended) alien and might even come across frightening and unapproachable plus wouldn't the reflective surface of the suit prevent him from absorbing sunlight there by robbing him of his powers
Superman exhibits the power of metal mimicry in the comics:

When I thought about "modernizing" Superman; I looked at him through the lense of the 60s and 70s with the Surfer and Colossus (rather than through the lense of modern super hero films like Batman and Spiderman). There will be a revision with a trunk line.
