I would rather have the one and only Michael Ironside do Darkseid's voice. However, Michael Clark Duncan would be my second choice. I agree with you that ILM "Davy Jones" treatment would give Darkseid and other Superman villains like Brainiac and Doomsday justice. Some people say that using heavy make-up like Thing and Hellboy should be used to created Darkseid. It would only make Darkseid silly and pretty much take away the scariness of the character.

Much as I would love to see Darkseid in the JLA movie, I would rather see him in a two part Supes movie than anything, long as they make the Supes movies back to back

Darkseid definitely belongs in a Superman movie, and he's the villian that they should use next!

It wouldn't take a whole lot to bring him to the screen, the costume is simple and it's one that doesn't need to be changed in anyway at all, unlike most superhero costumes.

Apokolips and the parademons could be done CGI, what's really interesting is who would you guys suggest to play Desaad. If you've got Darkseid you absolutely must have Desaad.

Man, this is the movie they should make no doubt about it, we're talking serious butt kicking action.

Maybe Doomsday and Darkseid need to be CGI'ed, but why Brainiac? He's basically the same size as a human and the only really unusual thing about him is the green skin and diodes.

Might be a little too much Star Trek but Brent Spiner would make a good Desaad and Michael Dorn would be a good Kalabak

Yes we can, and Superman isn't below Darkseid. In the comics Darkseid is always trying to beat Superman, so why not in the movies?

This is the next Superman movie they should make, and we should try to let them know it.

I agree that Laurence would be wrong as Darkseid & that MCD would be a better choice but Darkseid should be set-up towards the end of this film & should be the main villain in the third Superman movie.

I would do Darkseid like an intergalactic Hitler, with Apocolyps being like a huge concentration camp. Parallels with the 2nd world war and we`ll have a great movie.

In my opinion, Darkseid should be far more powerful than Superman and be more for him to handle on his own. Hence, the Justice League.

What they can do is put darkseid in a Superman movie, in which Superman does not end up defeating Darkseid (ie: leave and open ending, or a 'to be continued' ending). In the sequel they can introduce Justice League which then helps Superman overcome and defeat Darkseid temporarily.
