The Official DC Stupid Question Thread....

Dragonball = The story of a young man's journey to collect seven mystical spheres that could save the world, or leave it in ruin.

Dragonball Z = Aliens want to destroy the Earth for no reason other than a power trip, and now a loosely affiliated army of martial artists have to blow stuff up to save everyone. Oh, and the dragonballs are used exclusively to bring dead friends back to life.

The trailer to that movie you couldn't pay me to see suggests the plot will closely resemble Dragonball's, only with Piccolo Daimou in place of Pilaf, Goku as an adult instead of a teenager, and some bullcrap about an eclipse.

The eclipse makes him transform to an Oozaru instead of the full moon, which i think is actually a good change.

Back to some DC questions.

Has Silver Swan (Vanessa) been used at all lately? Last I remember she was taken to Themyscira.

Whatever happened to J'onn's brother Malefic?

How many Martians are actually running around the DCU? is ti enough for a Martian vs Kryptonian war?

Nope, dead, that would be cool and I think there's still a WHOLE lot of White Martians in the Phantom Zone. If Mark Waid was involved with this New Krypton thing, you can bet he'd remember that and do something with it. But while I think Geoff Johns loves DC history, he doesn't know it the way Mark Waid does, and he won't remember the second White Martian invasion. Let's make a pact right here, right now, DC Hypesters: one of us will make it as a comic book writer, we will work at DC, and we will make the Martian/Kryptonian War happen.

I'd know who I'd write if I ever make it as a writer for DC Comics.

Problem is, I doubt DC would let me. . . or anyone for whatever character they like, for their first stint.

Wish me luck, I actually have something I sent out to Dark Horse, hopefully they like it.

We'll meet back at the DC offices in three years. Have your ideas for the Kryptonian/Martian War prepared.

Last we saw of her, she has been "cured" and was recuperating with her mother. She hasn't appeared since, in proper continuity.

Im thinking of getting this "Trinity" thingy... any comments?
Is it tilted towards All Star DC?

Nope, it's firmly in continuity. Also, the trinity are absent for a large part of the series. It's still a decent story, though.

Takes place before Final Crisis, at the very least.

Yeah, that was specified at the beginning of the series, I belive, and it's pretty obvious at this point.

ok so am I reading this right in that according to Dan Didio...

"Aquaman’s storyline picks up again in Blackest Night, and what happens following that is a key story beat of Blackest Night."

so does this mean that Aquaman...yes...Aquaman is going to play a very pivitol role in a Lantern Event???

It's a full-fledged DCU event at this point. I'm sure Hal N' the Boyz will be front and center for it, but it's gonna spill over into the whole DC universe.

yeah...i read somewhere cant remember off the top of my head that Superman might sport a [blackout]blue ring[/blackout] at some point...

however it makes for what could become a really interesting premise...they are setting up this War of Light mega event for 2010 right...

well what would it be like if certain mainstay heroes and villains were given rings or different colors...

who would qualify for what colors and how would they use them...i think alot of interesting things could come out of that...

(smirk)
i'd like to see the boyscout with a blue ring,...

what color would flash be sporting?

LENT KLAN CRAB
RENT LAB CLANK
CRANK BALL NET
ALL AN NBC TREK

???? Man you put out a hard anagram! None of those seems to be the correct answer! ;)

I'm pretty sure you just read it here or on any number of other message boards where posters have been clamoring for this 'cause it's, well, pretty fitting. I certainly think so. But no, I don't think any reliable sources like Johns or DC have ever even hinted at this.

No, it's Crank Ball Net. Peter David's new ongoing, starts in June. Features Aquaman.

Wasn't Rise of the Olympian a Final Crisis tie-in? How exactly is it a FC tie-in? And its still going on after FC.
Also...

Are there any significant werewolf or vampire-type characters in the DC universe? Like Marvel's Jack Russell or Michael Mobius?
