There's always the GL/GA: Hard-Travelin' Heroes stories. They started out good and got progressively worse to me, but you may enjoy them more.

I didn't like the Hal character (still don't) but I was surprised at the sudden heel turn when he went Parallax.

Then came the rightful formation of H.E.A.T., but they had to wait for YEARS before Hal got SOME semblance of remorse over his actions. Then even MORE YEARS before he returned as GL.
