U know an idea popped in my head all of a suddenly and it got me to thinking. After a lot of consideration, I have come to my decision which actor I definitely want to play The Flash.... and it's not any of the ones I mentioned in the pole. My entire Flash cast goes as follows (based on what characters I think have a chance of appearing in the film)...


The Flash/Wally West.... Jake Gyllenhaal

The Trickster.... Matthew Lillard

Shade.... Johnny Depp

Blacksmith... Jennifer Esposito

Mirror Master.... I have absolutely no idea who could play this character. Definitely need some help on this one. Been boggling my brain and cannot figure out anybody what-so-ever.

Linda Park.... Lucy Liu

Iris West Allen... Jaclyn Smith

Hey! Statham wouldn't be bad at all. Good idea. But as far as McAvoy... I don't think he would play a very good villain or be believable as a villain.

I'd forgotten about Rosenbaum. If only he was 4 years younger, he would honestly be the perfect Wally West. He would be a better Wally than Lex, and his Lex is the best live action version ever.

Cerealkiller mentioned him as a possibility for Zoom, but don't you think Kevin Bacon would make a great Captain Cold?

If not him I can see Emile Hirsch as a good Wally.

I'd really like the first movie to be a Barry Allen origin film. Especially Barry will be the central Flash character in the DCU again starting next year. Ryan Reynolds, Joshua Jackson, or Scott Porter would be my top choices for Barry. Then I'll have Wally for a sequel, but as a partner and not as a replacement for Barry. Tom Hanks would be great as Garrick, and Adam Brody for Wally West!

Yea for flash film it would be so much easier to start with barry as the flash for first film and show his origin, and then as i said before include a young wally west in the film too and say he was at site when barry got powers, and then over the course of the film we see wally start to develop the speed powers while barry becomes the flash and takes on what ever villain they decide to use. Then in sequel they could have barry killed off and wally then takes over.

I was thinking the same thing looks wise, crazy wise no one does it like bacon so that would make a good zoom.

Agreed. I dont know what it is about him, but he seems crazy and in control at the same time making him that much more scary.

I can definitely imagine Bacon as Zoom. But I can't imagine him taking the role, unfortunately.
