I speculated years back that they would eventually build the MCU towards Civil War. They had seeds planted pretty early that easily could have (and as we saw, DID) grow into CW.

Granted, I imagined it would have been AFTER Infinity War, and be the next beg Avengers arc, but they did it even earlier, and as a Cap film, and CRUSHED it.

I can see DC/WB ATTEMPTING to do the same with Flashpoint eventually, and that could be AMAZEBALLS.

Of course, knowing our luck so far, they'll probably try and make it specifically a Batman film, rather than a Flash one, so they could focus on JDM's Thomas Wayne.
Of course, a Flashpoint FLASH film, with JDM guest staring, similar screen time as RDJ in CW, could be FANTASTIC!
