BlueLantern: A director I wanna see for Green Arrow is Terry Gilliam, not so much Tarantino, but it will never happen with any of them (sad to say). And discussing Green Arrow here is going off-topic

Panthro: The best superhero for Cameron is Aquaman, and that is not only for Entourage. His resume has a couple of films with a "water theme", and some of his work even begins with the letter "A". Perhaps I am reading too much into this? ;)
I've noticed recurring water themes in some of his work as well as a habit of titles that start with the letter A.

I also seem to recall hearing the real Cameron dismissed Aquaman as a stupid character.

Gilliam would be good. Someone entertaining is needed. Going for Darren Aronofsky or anyone who is similar to Chris Nolan wouldn't be right since there would be no dividing lines then. More Favreau, less Nolan. But yes, off topic.

Cameron would be perfect for the Flash, but he'd never do it. As long as it's not a slipshod director, we're good.

I would like to see Cameron doing Aquaman! I would love to see his vision of Atlantis. I wish the movie would only be set under the sea and not up in land. I would love to see some awesome war scenes in Atlantis.

But sorry for going off topic. But like I said, I want either Andy Wachowski or Francis Lawrence!

Let's go to the Aquaman thread and discuss Cameron there. Here we move quickly to The Flash

Wow, great picture there. It points out the evidence that DC heroes are god-like

Yeah, I know! :D
I just made it to my desktop wallpaper!

From seeing that ring, it makes me wish for that Bary gets that ring for his outfit lol. And his eyes looks AWESOME! that's the kinda thing I want to see on the big screen!

But I got a question for the fans,
Who should be the villain for this movie?

It would be some sweet high speed fight scenes if Zoom was in it. But it don't know if I would like to see Zoom being the villain in the first movie, maybe in the second? Just like Sinestro being the villain in GL2.

I would like to maybe see Trickster or Mirror Master or Captain Cold as the main villain?
I would love to see Gorilla Grood but then people would say it's to much like Planet of the Apes

I'd have all The rouges in the first movie. Have a montage of all them becoming villains since their origins are kinda easy and their tied at the hip.

LOL, me too. But it has to be something realistic since Marc Guggenheim said that the movie was going to be a CSI type of movie. Trickster could probably pull it off

What I would really like to see in The Flash is the aspect of The Flash Legacy. For the first movie, I don't want it to end on a complete and resolved note, rather, I would like the movie to end on a hopeful but unresolved note. I think it would be cool to allude to the concept of the Speed Force throughout the movie and at the end, have Barry "die" and join the Speed Force, thus leaving the mantle of The Flash up in the air. Jay would be in the movie, but not really in an active role. He would play more of the mentor role to Barry and help guide Barry as he becomes the hero we all know he will become. Wally would also be in the movie, but not as Kid Flash. I would rearrange Barry and Wally's origins a little bit and have their lightning "accidents" happen at the same time, except that Wally's powers would not manifest until later (during the final battle perhaps?).

After all is said and done and Barry is "gone", the main characters will be at Barry's house reflecting on the events that just transgressed. Jay would be there along with Iris and perhaps a few other people and they would all be sitting around trying to decide where to go from here. The threat has been eliminated, but Barry is gone... It would be at this point that Wally walks in wearing one of Barry's Flash costumes. Jay smiles a little, looks at Iris and then back at Wally. Wally then motions towards Jay and says something along the lines of, "Let's go get 'em" - and then Jay and Wally run off leaving Iris (hair blown and smiling). We then move on to Jay and Wally as they're running faster and faster before they are completely out of sight...

And that's the end of the movie.

Just my take on it at least :yay:

Barry shouldn't die in the first movie. Have him fall for Iris in the first movie and at the end he meets her nephew Wally and he takes him into the crime lab and the lighting strike happens again as the end. Have Wally become Kid Flash in the second one and have Zoom in it. Barry fights Zoom and "dies" by going so fast he merges with Speed force. At the end the second one have Wally take off his kid outfit and puts on Barry's costume and he becomes The Flash!!!

I'm wondering if the likes of Wally, Bart, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardener, etc. are going to make it through this relaunch DC has planned. I was thinking this whole relaunch might be because of the movies... But who knows what they've really got planned.

I don't want Barry Allen to die, nor Wally West to be in the movie.

I guess I'm just trying to differentiate this film from other superhero movies and not have it follow the typical trend of getting a "sidekick" in the sequel. Iron Man did it with War Machine and I have a feeling that Green Lantern will do the same with John Stewart or Guy Gardner. I feel like having Wally get his powers at the end would kind of force that whole sidekick thing in the sequel. I just feel like there needs to be a departure from the typical formulaic pattern of superhero movies. Let's surprise the audience a little and not have them really be able to guess what's going to happen in the next movie. I think if Jay and Wally leave at the end of the first film to find Barry, the audience is not really going to know where the next movie will go. It leaves it wide open, but not necessarily bound to a sequel. It could lead to a sequel or just be an ending that implies that the Flash legacy is alive and well :awesome:

Oooooor not, whatever. I just wanna see a FLASH movie!

maybe you misunderstood, they weren't sidekicks, they were partners. Equals, someone to share the burden with.

I think we're getting a little off-topic here, but I feel that they were sidekicks - and that's not a bad thing. Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, etc. They were all sidekicks. I'm not disputing their respective roles, purposes or dedication, but they all at one point or another lived in the shadows of their mentors; something that Wally even struggled with. When talking to the newest team of Teen Titans, Wally commented that when he was Kid Flash, we was very eager to have Barry's approval. Wally said, "Yeah, I wanted his approval for so long. But then I wrote that letter." He went on to say, "I had hoped that one day I'd get Barry's approval. Guess I didn't realize I always had it."

I'm not disputing their partnership(s) or shared burdens, but the junior partners have always resided in the shadows of their mentors at some point or another in comics (and in popular media).

I have so much respect for Wally West that I just don't want him to be treated as a second-tier character in the movie(s). I want him to have the purpose and conviction that we've talked about. That's why I really want to see him be the one to save Barry. The audience will have respect and interest in him and I think it would make him just that much more appealing. I just don't want him thrown in there to be featured in a sequel. I'm not saying he has to be used the way I suggested, but I would really like for the filmmakers to use him to his fullest and make him a character the audience wants to see more of - not just "another hero" to up the sequel. He's not just another hero; he's an integral part of the The Flash legacy and should be treated like one :yay:

((( just my $0.02 )))

When is the last time a hero had a sick kick in a super hero film?

Hah I just tweeted to Jim Lee and asked him if we will get any news on future DC projects. To my surprise, he replied and said yes, they're in good hands!!

Expect to hear some news soon.

We still don't see sidekicks that much to be where its cliche in Superhero films.

Maybe at the Licensing Show? They have some interesting listings including The Flash.

And Wonder Woman, too. Be interesting to see if that was in connection with the failed David Kelley pilot....prolly not.

I'm thinking DCE is moving forward pretty quickly to get the solo joints lined up for Justice League's primary cast, a la Marvel Studios' Avengers Initiative.

Hope something is announced soon for Barry and Diana, feature film-wise, very soon.

As for Flash villains: I'd think that Captain Cold would be the most recognizable Rogue for fans both die-hard and kinda-sorta. But Flash suffers from Iron Man's lack of decent, "cool" villains (although you don't get much "cooler" than Captain Cold....heh)
