IIRC, he's Prowler in the upcoming Spider-man animated film. Kevin Feige denied that written language exists in contracts, but Chris Hemsworth recently hinted that Marvel Studios actors/actresses were discouraged from taking DC-based roles.

A young John Stewart I would go with John Boyega Finn himself of the Star Wars franchise if they decide to go with a younger John Stewart but an older John Stewart then I would go with Boris Kodjoe or Lance Gross

As for Hal Jordan I would go with Derek Theler or Jensen Ackles but for an older Hal I would go with Matthew McConaughey

Jensen Ackles will never play Hal Jordan, Captain America, Batman, Dracula, Robin Hood, George Washington, Caligula or any other role he gets fancast for every five minutes. Supernatural fans need to give it up already.

I'm still on the Supernatural train and I think he's great on the show, but yeah. It's Fillion all over again. Folks really need to grasp that there are established arcs for actors that get these roles. You're either almost completely fresh faced (he isn't), you're already A-List (again, he isn't), or you do your TV, you get those supporting film roles, then maybe get a lead role or two and you're primed for it.

You don't do twelve straight seasons of a show, with one horror remake nestled in there, and then suddenly say "Yeah, I think I'm ready for my blockbuster franchise now."

Agreed. The guy is happy with a steady gig doing Supernatural for as long as that lasts. If Ackles showed any ambition for a career a leading man in movies then he would of quit Supernatural. He is almost 40 and not on a show that generates little buzz outside of it's hardcore fanbase. The chances of him being a in deman leading man in Hollywood is slim now.

Yeah, exactly. I used to have this friend who is huuuuuuge Supernatural fan. She was convinced that Marvel was "keeping Ackles on the backburner" for some role in the future because he supposedly auditioned for Captain America (and obviously didn't get it). Hopefully he'll find work whenever Supernatural eventually ends but if it's in a CBM, it will likely be as some small-time supporting character that has five minutes of screentime.

I would agree with this 100% if not for the fact that Marvel was able to turn Chris Evans,. who isnt fresh faced,. isnt A list,. and isnt a tv star. He was a guy who was always in comedies and whose appeal was just dropping low. I honestly think that if DC thinks Ackles is the right guy for Gl they would pull the trigger. The way the DCEU is set up anyway,. GL is only ever going to be a supporting character and wont ever be featured as the main hero. Hell,.even the supposed solo GL film will have Stewart and Hal. Saying all this,. my pick is Gyllenhaal,. just thought i should clear that up lol
