This may be a stupid question, but I've just recently got back into comics. In adjectiveless X-Men, I've noticed that Iceman is drawn with many ice Spikes or shards protruding from his body, yet in Civil War X-Men, he's shown with the smooth body. Is this just artistic differences or was there a reason why Iceman had those jagged spikes?

Each writer and artist has their own representation of him. And in this case, having two different books written and drawn by two completely different artists (X-Men books & Civil War books) I think Marvel should have caught that, and been consistent with the current ongoing book (written by Mike Carey). I prefer the spikey look... It gives him more character and makes him look a little more dangerous.

This is a Flash and Awuaman Vs. Iceman and Storm. Profezzor I think you'll find this wuite interesting seeing as how they are saying the flash owns Iceman. And HOF, I think you'll find this quote a bit akward:

Iceman was travelling in his ice form, only he didn't have an ice slide. He just extended his body into one long ice trail. Like this:

I just remembered one... X-Men #69 (Zero Tolerance), when Bastion thought he was beating the crap out of him, and Iceman snuck up from behind and defeated him.

There no question at all about the winner...Iceman in a heart beat.

I'm not aware of how powerful Mr. Freeze is. Bobby was born with his power, Mr. Freeze wasn't. I'm not saying that automatically makes him win, but it's a start.

But year, you're right. I was kind of hard for Jean to locate him. I'm just surprised that he didn't experiment with that power since then.

When did you say that he would be exploing his potential? If so, do you think he will start to use that to travel more often?

I didn't say when... I said I "hoped" that his abilities will be exploited during Carey's run. We still have a long way to go before we may see something amazing from him. But for most Iceman fans, a lot of us are pleased that Mike Carey is fond of Iceman, and that Mike realizes the potential he has.

I haven't been keeping current on Aquaman since he had his hand eaten off some years ago, but does he or Aqualad control water at a molecular level too?

If so, then I'd say he'd be a pretty formitable opponent for Iceman. Same goes for Hydro-Man, if he honed his abilities more.
