The Comedian said:This may be a stupid question, but I've just recently got back into comics. In adjectiveless X-Men, I've noticed that Iceman is drawn with many ice Spikes or shards protruding from his body, yet in Civil War X-Men, he's shown with the smooth body. Is this just artistic differences or was there a reason why Iceman had those jagged spikes?
Each writer and artist has their own representation of him. And in this case, having two different books written and drawn by two completely different artists (X-Men books & Civil War books) I think Marvel should have caught that, and been consistent with the current ongoing book (written by Mike Carey). I prefer the spikey look... It gives him more character and makes him look a little more dangerous.
