Comics The OFFICIAL: ICEMAN Discussion Thread

Isn't there a pic like that with Mystique?

I still haven't gotten 190

Dude, what's up with that? There are so many things happening in that issue, it's hard not to get it. Although I concur with you at the same time... Because I didn't pick up the most recent issue (#192). Only because there was no Iceman mention in it. But hey, at least I can scan through it at my local shop, to catch up on the story. I'm guessing the next issue will have him fighting fuego in the sky battle.

But as I mentioned before, I'm a diehard Iceman fan... If he's not in the book, I don't buy it. If he's shown iced up, and has dialogue... I buy it. It's that simple.

Takes out Aurora in mist form. Presumably slows the flood flow to her brain, and puts her into a cryogenic sleep, like he almost did with Emma a couple of years ago. Being blown up by the twins and performing this feat probably exhausted him, so Mystique stepped in to give him a hand shortly thereafter.

Prosh reminds him of his past, and potential:

Concrete evidence that Iceman and Jean have Omega level potential:

This moment marks the very first time a part of his physical body has been dismembered... You can guess what happens next.

Note: When Mikhal Rasputin turned him into water, then back to ice, he was still considered whole.

Theoretically, he should be able to evaporate and solidify whenever he chooses from this point forward, since it's still considered the 616 universe. However, what I don't like is that Carey decided to make him ill when he tried it again. At the end of this series, Iceman clearly goes back to crime fighting in Uncanny X-Men (in Casey's 616 run). Why some people think this story isn't tied into the 616 universe, is beyond me.

Just look at how accurate and precise he freezes Toads tongue (then eventually Mammomax's tongue later on)

This is from the issue just before Emma took over Iceman's body... Just look at how much cold he resonates as he lays there unconcious. Then enter Emma, the new Iceman, or as I like to call her.. "Icefrost".

the picture above is very cool, no pun intended.

Bachalo's style is similar to Maudiera's, so it's conceiveable that he could draw this version of Iceman. This is my second favorite version. The first is from uncanny #302.

What comic and issue is the one with him and Jean in the kitchen from? And I can't see the 3rd and 4th one where it says "prosh reminds him of his past and potential" and "concrete evidence that Iceman and Jean have Omega level potential". Great scans though! Where did you get them? And could you sort of list the issue #'s...please. He has done some pretty cool feats.

Here's another one of him being blown up in human form, during THE DRACO. This is the arc where he was just a head for the entire story... Stupid writer. :cmad: Notice the vapour trail leading from the pile of ice into the head Warren is holding.

Thanks for all of that. Why did that lady arn him that his powers could harm-or help the world? JUST to remind him of his potential? And I read have Uncanny X-men #416-420 with Iceman in it. Is that issue afterwards? I don't like that cape all that much, looks stupid on him. It would look A LOT better without it.

He was pretty impressive in that issue. And the way he told Havok that he was alright after being pelted with bullets was so inspiring. I've never seen him in any issue with that amount of bravery... ever. He was a total badass in that issue, hands down.

The one thing I wish they would have done with Iceman's powers in the movies, was create that same effect they did in "The Chronicles of Riddick", when the spaceships sucked in that black matter to fly.... Only with Iceman, it would be water mist drawn to his hands when he generates an ice beam or something.

I tried finding video of the Riddick ships, but nothing came up.
