The Official Jigsaw thread

Not bad choices. I would have never thought of Wayne Knight as Micro.

If they play him as more serious, the way he looks now with a beard, he could probably look really similar to how Microchip looked in his final appearance, in the MAX books.

IM just going to have a hard time trying not to think of 3rd Rock from the Sun.

PERFECT!!!:woot: Wow. Both choices are absolutely perfect! Fantastic! I always imagined Knight's voice when I was reading Micro. :woot:

Brian Cox was my choice for Micro.

I hope Knight throws in a JP line lol

Frank: I need more guns, NOW!
Micro: Ah ah ah, you didn't say the magic word! Ah ah ah! Ah ah ah!

Don "the cop" is Microchip? I always pegged him for Microchip but never had the balls to recommend. Wow, the plot thickens indeed.

Oh wow, I forgot all about him in that show! Thanks for the flashback.

nice casting, IMO. It doesn't nearly compare the casting for The Dark Knight or Iron Man, but its shaping up to be a nice cast. I'm excited to see how this will end up.

I think the casting is good all around. Hopefully everything plays well on the big screen.

very happy about West getting roles like this. despite how under the radar it is, I seriously think the wire is the best show ever made..ever! Dom West just happens to be a major part of that. I wasnt sure about this movie at first, but now dominic west is in it, thats my ticket bought!

He had fifteen to twenty lines.

Yeah, but to be fair 300 wasn't a very dialog heavy movie. With those 15-20 lines he had one of the highest amounts of dialog in the entire film.

Yup. I mentioned Knight's performance as a tech guy in JP being very entertaining earlier in this thread, and that if his performance is even half as entertaining as his performance as Nedry was in JP, definately no worries there!

His performance was entertaining you right, looking forward to him in this.

West's character was a complete jerk in 300, he's perfect , I dont know who im more excited to see, Ray as Frank or West as Jigsaw.

He did a great job of making us not like him in 300, hopefully he will do the same here, he has the looks to pull off Russo as well.

West as jigsaw, great choice.this movie is going to be great.:cwink:

I say meh to you on the Iron Man casting.

West is a decent choice. Paddy is a much better and more respected actor, IMO.

That may be true, but it doesn't mean that he would have been better for Jigsaw.

Something about Paddy made me say to myself; "Oh. That guy! Yeah! He would be perfect for the part." Y'know, I would put my complete faith in Paddy.

I have an easier time envisionng West as Jigsaw. Paddy not so much.

He would be cool though as maybe someone like Thorn or Eddie Dyson (Payback).

Especially Payback.

Funny thing.

The people you end up easily envisioning easily suck the most.

Thomas Jane was easily the vision everyone saw. He sucked.

Paddy might have been hard to envision, but I will tell you one thing, that man would have taken the role with dignity.

#1 Tom didn't suck.

#2 If Patty had dignity he wouldn't bad mouth the production and the directors last film because someone else got the job. Acting like he didn't want it. A total change in character from before he lost the job and after. That's more the sign of LACK of dignity.

I'm happy with the new cast even more than the last film and hope for a good film.

1. I thought the man sucked in the role. Sure, he had the right look. And that meant anything? The whole role was him drinking and hardly any Punisher appearance.

2. Paddy never wanted the job in the first place. He only briefly mentioned the fact that he had been offered. The public took care of the rest.

wow.. knight as microchip is near-genius casting.. hopefully lionsgate will secure a good opening date, free from other blockbusters..

What about Paddy saying he would "fear for his wife and child" if he ever took a role in a comic book adaptation? We just showed up and talked about him being in the movie, he did the rest... guy is way out there.

The thread over on his forum turned into a public frenzy. Paddy hardly does post and when he does, he doesn't post that much in them. He didn't mean for the information to leak. People made sure that the thread got attention. He was obviously kidding with that comment, though, as he does have a black comedic sense of humour. Publicity is what made the deal big and he should be angry after they were saying he sold out. Don't mention how he has strived to keep out of the Hollywood circuit and remain stationed in independent, character driven, low-key film. I mean how would you feel if you were Steven Spielberg, working so hard to complete a modern masterpiece, and your producer called you out and told you it wasn't a masterpiece.
