The Official Jigsaw thread

Nicky Donatelli is still probably the undercover agent who gets killed, but I have a feeling that Luke McDonald has been replaced by Budiansky. From what we all knew about McDonald before, he was definitely a lead... so no mention of him now makes me think they've changed him to sound like a character from the comics. That's just speculation though, I guess.

Further "name dropping" without any real related substance by the production, but whatever.

This makes sense though.

Try not to over act and play the part like a true villain. Yeah - that's the best I got to give. :yay:

McDonald might be the most important character in the movie, since they haven't anounced who's playing him, and who wants Castle for a very personal reason we don't know about. His name is stil on the TBA.

There is also a story arc from very early nineties called "Jigsaw Puzzle" written by Mike Baron and art by Bill Reinhold and Mark Texiera. I think that one should definately be considered.

Just bought 300 the other day, and DW is REALLY good in it, i think he will make a great Jigsaw.

I would really like to see Jigsaw go on a huge killing spree in this film much like the Joker sounds like he'll be doing in The Dark Knight.

DW was made out to be a complete one-dimensional sissy in the movie. I disliked the whole Queen subplot and wish the film makers didn't deviate from the novel to simply reach out to a female demographic.

I agree as off topic as this is...

That whole film is subtext for a one dimensional plot. Something other than fighting was nice, for a change.

So does that mean he gave a bad performance? He was essentially playing a bad guy, and did a very good job of it IMO.

I agree, nothing wrong with a bit of character moments.

The movie would've been very short without it. Plus the whole movie was reaching out to a female demographic. Why do you think all the guys never had their shirts on?

Lets not rationalize why they put it in. You either liked it or you didn't like it. If you didn't like it and rationalize that it was important to put it in... Don't know what to say to that.

Well, that whole subplot was 1-dimensional with the simple intention of hitting us over the head with female empowerment and crappy dialogue. It really interrupted the flow of the movie and weakened it.

I guess the better issue is, did Dominic do well... and he did... as for as performance and what he had.

Even though i didn't want to see it i unfortunately stumbled upon that forbidden shot of Two Face from The Dark Knight that's been floating around the web.

I see some similarities with Jigsaw. Hopefully the movie version will not too much alike.

Anyone else seen it?

The Two-face pic?

Yeah; I saw it. Looks ok but not what I'm after for Jig.

Personally, I'm hoping the make-up for Jigsaw looks something like Sam Neill's characters scarring in 'Event Horizon'.

A bit, but I'm really itching to see Dominic as Jigsaw.

I want to see how he looks too. Out of everything this is what I want to see the most from the movie.

I really don't understand the hate for the battlevan. The Punisher's toy vehicle battlevan looks awesome IMO! It was made in 1990.

I for one do want the Battlevan in the movie. I also have the 90's toy Battlevan.

I'm just more interested in a good story really.

I also was hoping he'd drive the Battle Van. Except I wouldn't want it to have all sorts of insane fancy gadgets like the friggin A-Team van.

This movie will be violent, and I know people are gonna like it just for that fact. The story on the other hand wasn't quite there.

If they went with the Rambo just flat out hour and half of violence, I could've gotten behind it a bit more. As it is* the story and the drama just don't fit with it, you get a lobster death and chair balancing comedy and then you get cheesy/cliched dialogue where Castle seems like he's gonna cry. It just doesn't flow.

But that's just my take on it.

*I know there have been rewrites, but I'm pretty sure that at least 90% of the script I read is in the movie.
