Oldman was born to play the role and who else thinks he looks like live-action Ned Flanders?
It's almost unthinkable for me to think of any other actor as Gordon besides Oldman. However, if I had to pick someone, it'd be Bryan Cranston (Walt from Breaking Bad). He'd be perfect.

Heck, after the end of the episode 'Crawl Space' I'd give him a shot at The Joker too were he younger... that scene was so remiscent of 'The Man who Laughs' it was eerie.
Am I the only one who was disappointed by Cranston in Year One?
It was a very flat performance.
That movie was done poorly, in my opinion. It tried to follow the comic frame-for-frame and left no room for any sort of emotion.
He had to read Frank Miller dialogue... so thats the problem right there.

Yeah, I'm sure it was no accident. He looks and sounds great with a moustache...Wow, I didn't even know Bryan Cranston did the voice of Jim in the animated year one. As I say though, he would be much more well suited for a live action series.
