Common hasn't impressed me as an actor...at all.

He looks as much like Hal as Common does John.

Oh please. No one said people can't be multi-talented. Mos Def, for example. The point is Com Sense is not a good actor. Most singers (not just rappers) who cross over to acting aren't good at it and get roles because of their fame. Maybe he'll get better...hopefully he will, since people keep casting him in movies.

There are actual trained actors who don't sound like they are reading lines who can play John Stewart.

Well to be honest his character didnt do much in the film so you cant really judge him on that one character. As for his other films i havent seen them myself.

I'd like Common to play him. I think he'd do fine. I think he should show up in a JLA movie if they don't use Hal Jordan, maybe even if they do.

So out of all the suggestions I would have to say Derek Luke because He's young and talented, I like Idris but he looks way too old.

Yea i have enjoyed his work over the yrs on jett jackson on disney in the late 90s/early 00s and his few appearances on smallville as victor stone/cyborg. If they did choose him for john i would be down with him.

He's great on TV shows but did you see him The Hills Have Eyes 2? God, everybody's acting was horrible lol

YEa and even good actors can have a bad film/acting in a film some times. Other times its the director not getting better acting out of the actors or the script was crap and the actors are just doing it for the paycheck.
