He's been done right in SR as a vicious psycho who was also very smart. I think that Kevin Spacey has the best big screen performance of Lex Luthor while overall in the entire media of the Superman mythos Michael Rosenbaum has the best performance of Luthor.

I'd easily give SR a 9/10 because of the great story it had. I think most people are only saying it was bad or average at best because of there was no fighting between Superman & a actual supervillian.
