The Official Lanterns News & Discussion Thread

Some of y’all are going to turn me into the Simon Cowell of fancasts, I swear. :o

I feel like Kyle Rayner will get the live action shaft, unless they rework his origin. John Stewart seems to be the GL guy for the new DCU.

That said, I would love to see Kyle Rayner get some animated love. I still think adapting Emerald Twilight would be awesome to see.

The way I see it is that if the speculation of Hal not surviving the season proves accurate, someone will need to inherit his ring. ;)

Yeah I think we’ll see Kyle in season 2. Maybe Jessica too. I’m not as familiar with her because I had stopped reading comics by the time she showed up, but hell yes to Rachel Zegler.

For Kyle… Freddy Miyares (When They See Us, DMZ) might be good.

It’s too bad Xolo was cast as Blue Beetle. He would have made an awesome Kyle.

I think it’s cool they’re focusing on John Stewart. He’s so funny on the daily show

Lol that’s pretty good; Perea would be a good get. I don’t have a better pick. But I have a sense we’ll get Jessica before we get Kyle… but that’s just a hunch

For the others,
Alan Scott: Murray Bartlett, 54
Jessica Cruz: Jenna Ortega, 22

I love Murray but he better be blond if he’s playing Alan! I know CBMs hate blond actors for some reason and I’m not bending on this one! Alan is a blondie GL!

Preview isn’t loading, but here’s an article on Lanterns.

Lanterns: HBO Believes DCU Show Is an Emmy Contender Like The Penguin

Ugh I hate MSN. It always does that with links to any article.

Didn’t they use to say The Flash was the best script they had ever seen? Lmao but let’s just wait and see. I know times are different now but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

I’m curious what Gunn meant by “grounded sci-fi”. As in, it has to stick to science? Or grounded to earth like Men in Black? What do you think?
