Hardy would be a cool Lex. But I don't want him to bulk up at all for Lex. I want Lex to be skinny. The fun with Lex and Superman is the battle of brain vs. brawn between them.

I want Lex to be skinnier than we have seen him in the movies so far,but i think Hardy would need to bulk up a little bit. Remember in All Star Superman when they are in the prison,Lex lifting weights and once he is done it shows that Lex has a muscular build. I would want it similar to that if we got Hardy. Which would be great IMO.

definitely on board with Tom Hardy for Lex. finally saw his acting in Inception and he's easily one of the more entertaining/charismatic actors out of the bunch. he's already worked with Chris Nolan and even though he IS gonna be Mad Max, he doesn't really have anything else on his plate as of now (according to IMDB at least).

well for me i still want to know what direction/take they are going to have lex be this go around. Then once i know that its a bit easier to imagine what types of actors they are likely going to look at, or we even heard testing for the role.

Fan of Superboy? Root of hatred for Superman? What Lex Luthor is that? Sounds like the one from the Smallville television show. Anyways buisnessman Lex is the way to go. Thats the most entertaining and best Lex Luthor by far in the comics. And Leo Decaprio like others said should play him. He is a great actor and be great for him to play a villian.

i've only seen Hardy in Inception, but like i said, he was EASILY one of the most charismatic actors in the movie (even surpassing Joseph Gorden-Levitt). i honestly think he'd make an AWESOME Lex with only one minor concern.......can he pull off an American accent? even if he can't, i think he'd still make a great Lex Luthor.

In B3, he would be great if he were cast as Black Mask or Deadshot.

actually...i could go for seeing Leo as Lex also. he can be very sinister at times and to my knowledge he hasn't played an antagonist yet. i think Tom Hardy looks the part more, but i certainly wouldn't complain about Leo. it'd be a great marketing move, hehe!

still holdin' out for Tom Hardy though...

Hardy is awesome.

I remember watching Star Trek Nemesis way back, and he managed to bring such great screen presence opposite Patrick Stewart.

Then I saw Bronson, and couldn't believe it was the same guy. He was a skinny beanpole in Nemesis a few years earlier.

I save him later on in the film series when he runs for president and wins. But that Superboy Lex Luthor crap needs to stay far away from screen as possible. Worst then the crook Lex Luthor from the Donnerverse films. Just reminds you Lex Luthor had alot of bad gimmicks in the comics and before the 1980s so hard to imagine a guy like him as Superman's #1 enemy.

I've never seen Nemesis, but I'm tempted to give it a shot, simply because Hardy is in it. Though I've heard it's a terrible movie.

But yeah, the only thing I'd see Hardy in before Bronson and Inception was RockNRolla... when I saw the physical transformation he underwent for Bronson, I was shocked. That dude is one committed actor. I really hope Nolan uses him again because he is, as Charlie Bronson would say, "BRRRRILLLLIIIAAANNNTTT!""

Hardy should be in a Batman film in some capacity. He's make a great Black Mask or one of Gordon's cops. But I'd take him as Luthor as well.

He was incredible in Bronson. You don't beliee it's the same man. He went balls out (literally) with that role.
