Hardy is the new flavor because of Inception.

is he a good actor? of course he is. he has been for years before Inception.

if he is Lex Luthor will be happy. but if he is not then i will not be angry because i knwo that there are a lot of good actors on this planet. i just hope that they cast someone with years of experience. he needs to nail this character. i want the masses to talk about Lex Luthor for months.

Tom Hardy is probably the 2nd least popular actor from the main characters in Inception, but he almost stole the show. his charisma and talent spews all over the screen when he's on it. my only gripe is that he's so charismatic that if he's cast as Lex, whoever they cast as Superman would have to compete with that...and unfortunately, Superman is often portrayed as having a bland personality.

however, this dynamic could be used to create more tension and challenge for Superman on screen.....as art often imitates life.

I think Laurence is the perfect choice for Luthor. Sure, he's chubby nowadays but i think he could carried the Megalomaniac persona without being over the top and i'd imagined the character as someone who is respected and had a lot of public support. Every time i read the character in the comics, i always imagined his voice. I hope WB is listeningt:

Lex Luthor is a fictional character, whose race doesn't matter. He's not Black Panther, he's not Red Skull. Just as I think Fishburne could be a good Luthor, Denzel Washington could have been a great Two-Face. It's not the skin color, it's the acting ability. I'd much rather have a good black actor play Luthor than a ****** white actor.

btw, just because a character is fictional and their name doesn't indicate their race doesn't mean they could or SHOULD be played by someone of a race other than regularly depicted. Lex is white, has always been depicted as white, and there are plenty of white actors that fit him perfectly........so just drop it.

i totally agree with what your saying. Not saying those guys couldnt act in that role, but it just wouldnt seem right. Granted there are roles where race has been flipped. But you cant mess with big characters like that. Thats like casting a white guy to play Blade lol....its just not working out that way
