GA1U5, I like Sophia Bush because she has the exact look, and personality that I envision live action Lois Lane should have. Everything about her screams Lois Lane to me the same way Christopher Reeve was perfect for Superman.

Margot Kidder, Teri Hatcher, Kate Bosworth: it wouldn't be that hard to find a better Lois than these. The only one of the three who really captured Lois' spirit was Margot, and she's hardly the looker among them.

I've always wondered if Hatcher could have pulled off a better Lois if her material didn't suck so badly. The Lois & Clark storylines were like rejected scripts from Moonlighting. And the actors she had to work with were terrible. Dean Cain was the worst Superman I've ever seen. Maybe he's been good in other things, I don't know. But his Clark/Supes was unbearable, IMO.

I would agree that Sophia has a good Lois look, but I really can't say one way or the other about her acting. I've never really seen her in anything other than that stupid John Tucker Must Die movie.

Actually, there haven't been any cries of "American only" for Lois or any of the supporting cast, mainly just Superman, and even then, it wasn't too big a deal from what I remember.

It was casting Captain America where the "American Only!" cries were really on the forefront, and with good reason.

What type of Lois do you guys see Snyder going for?
How will he make his Lois stand out from what we've seen before on film?

Well for one thing, I can't see his Lois being wimpy like Bosworths. I can see her defending herself (obviously to her limitations) in a physical way.

Wow... I would never lump Teri in there... her Lois is IMO the only one to capture the heart and soul of the character, and I think they would be wise to pull a lot from her portrayal.

I know i'm definitely in the minority when it comes to his Superman, but I can't watch Chris Reeve's supes without cringing at the cheese. Dean Cain actually makes the character feel real to me.

Well, I guess if "real" translates to "boring and lifeless" I can see what you mean. A lot of people I know in real life are dull and uninteresting, and Cain certainly has a lot in common with them.
