IF TRUE, expect it to be either Biel or McAdams.

It just seems that Team Nolan had Hathaway, Biel, and McAdams circled from the get go for either Catwoman or Lois. With Hathaway choosing Catwoman, I just think it's a no brainer that they're either going with McAdams or Biel.

I can actually see Jessica Biel getting this. She was the runner-up for Catwoman, so Nolan and WB, obviously, like her. If Snyder does too, she's in.

Good thinking. That is how I feel. She would be following a similar path as Cavill.

She was a finalist for Catwoman in "Dark Knight Rises", they sent her the "Justice League: Mortal" script and coveted her for the role of Wonder Woman.

Cavill actually had the role of Superman years ago, and was a finalist for "Batman Begins".

Weird.

If that list has any validity, I like McAdams and Biel. The rest I either don't know or don't like for the role.

I really have to say I especially don't like the Kristen Stewart rumor. It has nothing to do with Twilight - she won me over as an actor with her role in The Runaways - but I just can't even remotely picture her as Lois Lane. Maybe she could shock us all, but I just don't think her talents would suit the character in the least.

Here, here! I love Rebecca Hall. Though the mention of her name in this thread tends to garner crude comments by people who think that every actress in these movies should look like a Maxim model.

Personally, I think Rebecca is lovely and is one of the most talented actresses out there right now. I would love to see her play Lois Lane.

Well, all this talk is getting crazy. I trust Snyder/Nolan to pick the actress with the best chemistry (whoever that is). I'm not against anyone here. I think McAdams or Biel could work just fine. Biel would definitely be an interesting choice, but the woman can no doubt act. She can certainly "look" and play the part, too. As a brunette, she looks Lois to me (and she's only got a year up on Cavill so age isn't a problem).

Go with whomever has the best chemistry with Cavill, and whomever best fits the character they wrote. Don't cast the role based on who fits the character relating to the comics, go with who is best for the individual story they want to to tell. That said, it is hard to go wrong with Rachel McAdams, long considered to be the next big actress. Hatheway has stolen some of her thunder, but it still isnt really close. While Kate Winslet seems certain to be the next Merrill Streep, Hatheway will be more Sandra Bullock, while McAdams gets to be Julia Roberts. McAdams possesses rare charisma and versatility.

I would agree-it is going to either Jessica Biel or Rahcel McAdams...Hopefully McAdams, for obvious reasons (Nolan had her read for TDK to), but she has been hesitant to take part in big franchises. Biel really is not that talented of an actress. Everything seems forced, nothing natural (except TCSM, she was excellent in that). Hmmm, IDK. I guess Biel prob. has it in her, but I'd bet McAdams is gar more likely to deliver an excellent performance.

McAdams also seems far more Loisy than anyone else. I.E. I could easily imagine McAdams delivering an Oscar worthy performance with a sound script (like the entire cast of TDK did, for instace)

The mere fact that Gosling and McAdams were in the Notebook, a chick flick that actually made DUDES cry, gives them a free acting pass on anything.

everyone should be able to agree on this one thing, lois needs to have spunk/sass
enough to get through superman and lex's armor. and have the audience love her in spite of her reckless ambtion.

alot of the choices I see being tossed around just don't really exude this, especially beil.
personally I think McAdams has the best shot as creating a traditional lois.
