i don't mind her, if we can see her in black hair

If you've seen G.I. Joe, you've seen Sienna Miller with black hair:

Honestly, I don't mind Rachel McAdams for Lois. She's a great actress and if you want to see her as the determined newspaper reporter type, you should check her out in State of Play where she plays a blogger who works with investigative reporter Russel Crowe to uncover a congressman's sex scandal.

She's on my shortlist for sure. I'm still wishing Rashida Jones or Zooey Deschanel get considered for the part.

Not my ideal pick, but if she earns the role by topping the other candidates through auditions, I'll be optimistic. I only wish she could look as hot as she does in magazine shoots.

thanks for that Jamie...

...i'd rather see McAdams than Wilde. Wilde's too sexy. Lois should be an attractive lady, but not necessarily a sexy siren like Wilde is.

So Wilde and McAdams are definitely in the running. Cool.

wilde looks exactly like lois she is sexy yet mature looking at the same time

I get what you mean. To be honest, I was hoping Olivia Wilde would get the Catwoman role. (While I support Anne Hathaway for Selina, I think she's more in the mold of Lois).

Wouldn't it be ironic then if Olivia Wilde is cast as Lois Lane? It would be like Nolan got his iconic DC women backwards.

I disagree. Mila Kunis had a deceptively challenging role, as she essentially has to play two performances at once. One as the innocent, well-intentioned friendly girl who the character probably actually is, and one as the conniving, scheming skank that Natalie Portman's character conceives her as being. She has to simultaneously be convincing as both personas, as her opinion of her character sways back and forth.
Bingo. Not only did she have to inject some life into a character that was barely there on paper, but after multiple viewings, I'd say she also served as the [blackout]"reality barometer"[/blackout] of the film, which involved walking some very fine lines in a few parts, but I thought she nailed it. It was a subtly impressive performance, imo. No way could Megan Fox have pulled that off as well.

Between Book of Eli and Black Swan in 2010, I'm actually becoming a fan of Kunis. Never thought I'd say that, as I used to just find her dreadfully annoying thanks to her TV shows. But now I think she's one to watch.

Just the possibility of Olivia playing Lois has made my day. If it actually happens I'll lose my mind.

We tend to agree and have the same opinions a lot.

I don't know about Wilde as Lois, never thought about her in the role...

oh yeah! Wilde would be great!

Just imagine Cavill and Wilde?

*faints*

Wow, I hope McAdams and Wilde really are the two finalists, because I think either one would be a good choice.

I know! It's funny, because when I first came to the Hype, I found myself disagreeing with you most of the time. But now we seem to agree on almost everything. So either one of has gotten wiser or dumber over the years...or we've both just gotten wiser. I choose to believe it's the latter. :woot:

Wilde would be good. If I can't have her as Catwoman I'll take her as Lois Lane.

Wilde is not an engaging actress to me. In House, 13 kind of seems to have forced chemistry with the group, as opposed to natural and in Tron Legacy, the character lacked soul and chemistry with the main star. I see this as a pattern, so I'd rather the superior actress, McAdams, get it.
