I think that scene was just hinting at future Brotherhood members.

I was thinking of that, but in my head, I don't think Ink ever joined the Brotherhood in the comics. I know they could change it up in the movies but still.

Maybe a Sabertooth return showing him turning into Tyler manes could be nice.... With a obsession over trying to make a young storm screen, nice little link to x1

The fact that they left him alive means that they can easily use him again. The fact that Singer heavily implied that we'd see a young Cyclops in the next movie would be a great time to bring Alex back. Maybe finally clarify exactly how they're related to each other in the film-verse.
