The Amazing Spider-Man The Official Marc Webb Thread

It's not a good vibe for the X-Men at ALL. The fact there's a whole team devoted to slicing and dicing people to death is not the X-Men I want to read.

to be fair the art is amazing so it gets a pass

Oh you're back now. You've finally figured out those two geniuses don't have any idea what they are talking about?

No, they do. But that's irrevelant to the topic at hand don't you think? LOL. You've been waiting for me to post on here again just so you could say something didn't you? Let it go dude LOL :)

Examples being...? Oh yeah, that huge announcement on the villain for Spider-Man 4 coming right after Thanksgiving. Still waiting on that one.

LOL, that was his opinion. I was the one who got cocky and assumed that. But whatever, it's off topic. Why do you guys even care? If you're better and more important than those guys then why even give it the time of day. You want to start another fight just to get banned permanently this time? Let it go LOL :word:

I merely asked for an example of how accurate they've been. Since they know what they're talking about. According to you. You know like James Cameron being secretly lined up to take over the franchise. Or the claims that Disney was stepping in. Great track-record.

The stupidity (and subsequent laughs I get from them) is what keeps my attention. Not to mention, those who will do anything to defend their claims. :word:

LOL, and yet James Cameron was reported to be on Sony's wishlist. They said Disney/Marvel called him, well the chairman of Disney anyway. Or the fact that Disney hopes to have the rights to all the characters by 2017. Why am I telling you this? LOL Even if I gave an example of how accurate they've been you'd laugh and roll your eyes so let it go dude. :word: You're not going to change my mind and no one is going to change yours? You're laughing at them? Well they're laughing at you LOL. The more and more you respond to them or me the more we laugh cause your anger is amusing. You're so sensitive dude.

Anyways, I think Marc Webb will do a really good, if not great, job. I'm very curious as to what him and Sony will bring to the table.

Do we have any way of knowing this. That'd be a dream come true.:woot: And really not that far off either. Plenty to keep us busy until then.

Cameron himself said he was never approached. Yet they claim he was being lined up to make this new Spider-Man movie. Disney has said they're not involved with this franchise. This is 100% Sony's operation. See what I just did there? I gave examples. And links as back-up.

Still waiting for those examples of "accuracy." :word:

Ah well. Enjoy living in the land of Oz with the few other morons there. I'll be too busy writing for one of the top film-news websites around and getting/posting real information. Oh and meet my "Ignore" button.

It's on, not sure if it's Variety or The Hollywood Reporter. I'll find it again and post it, hold on. :word: And yes plenty of time to keep us busy lol. :yay:

(Sigh) Yeah, like you said, they lie. Cameron was never approached, by Sony. And Disney can't do anything about it unless Sony stops making movies within a certain amount of time. If Disney find any loophole in the agreement they will go for it. Now, LET IT GO LOL :word:

Definately, I have a feeling that he will end up being a better character director than Raimi was, but my concerns lie elsewhere, like how is he going to deal with the action aspect and cgi usage in the film.

That is definitely the real question isn't it? We know he can handle character and story from 500 Days of Summer. But can he handle action? Well, we all asked the same thing with Bryan Singer, Jon Favreau, and Christopher Nolan. And all three have proven that they can, maybe not as well as say James Cameron, Peter Jackson, or Michael Bay, but pretty damn good. Now I know Marc Webb isn't of the same calibre, not exactly anyway, as Bryan, Jon, or Chris but I say we should definitely give him a chance. :word:

Hey Jamie, this is very off topic obviously LOL, but when are you guys going to post another Movie Moan?:word:

I'm excited, because Marc Webb now has the opportunity to prove himself as a director, after only doing one feature length film. I'm excited to see what he's going to do.

Me too :yay: Let's just hope Sony doesn't put in any bad ideas and force him to do it. If that happens maybe he can make it work and make it good.

This certainly has gone off topic, and it actually was my fault, since I quoted you first.

Rocco, there is a reason that "The King" and "Icey" are posting on a forum that nobody goes to with only you and one other not so informed poster hanging on to their every word. There is a reason that "The King" has to erase everything that was previously on their rudimentary website and start over on a free blog, why move around so much. Do you think it is because they are always right? Do you also believe there is really an Otisburg?

If they are always right and that is the outcome of always being right, then I want to always be wrong. When you're wrong you write for one of the biggest movie websites out there after opening your own successful website. You get interviews, you go to premieres, you get screeners, and other such perks. Yep. I rather be wrong 3 years and counting.

The point being, you may be able to let the faux news flow over at that other site, but there are actually smart Spider-Man posters here. Keep that in mind. So going forward, think about that.

So, Marc Webb?

very bad example Favreau already had a big sfx driven action fantasy film in Zathura under his belt

Singer and Nolan Both of there action scenes were not that good and were petty grounded

I didn't say they were always right, doesn't mean they were never right or always wrong. Look, they're not idiots and you guys aren't idiots. Who cares who's proven the other right or wrong. Now can we please drop this pointless arguement? Yes, how about that Marc Webb? How about that Movie Moan? How about them Braves? LOL :word:

Well yeah I know. And they were grounded but still bad ass and cool. I'd rather see a cool grounded fight scene than a ****** cgi fest. That's why I said Marc Webb isn't really of the same calibre as them. I mean the situation is the same in a sense that we question Marc Webb being able to do this kind of movie and pull off a decent one, if not good. And it sounds like that this Spider-Man movie is going to be pretty grounded. Not saying it should be of course, but it does sound like it if they are aiming for a budget of 80 million. X-Men, the first one, had a budget of what 75 million and yet was a damn good movie. Now I know we didn't want X-Men to be grounded or Spider-Man for that matter, but better that than some ****** cgi fest with no coherent plot.

You can pay attention to whomever you want, I just feel bad for you...you're wasting so much time hanging on to hot air. Good luck with that.

In regards to Movie Moan, you can find it on IESB going forward.

Cool man, thanks. :word: I can't find this on IESB.net. Would you mind posting a link?
