ME trilogy new gen port with all dlc would sure be an awesome must-have deal
I was going to play through Mass Effect 3 again recently maybe even buy some of the DLC I hadn't grabbed yet, but when I heard about this possibility, I decided to wait. I'd buy this in a second if it is reasonably priced.

If you want to pay full price for games that came out years ago and that you probably already own or at least have played, that's your business.

I think the only thing they could realistically do to justify a full sixty dollar price is if they reworked the first game so it's more in line with the sequels.

That's actually my hope.. That the first game is reworked. I would pay 60 easily for that. If not I'll wait til it's 30.

I would only buy again if there is a significant difference between the next gen version and the current gen ones.

Oh man retooling the first game would be amazing. It's still good but quite an adjustment after playing 2&3.

Why would they rework Mass Effect? It is the best game in the series.

imo the actual gameplay/shooty bits were greatly improved in the 2nd one.

As the games went on, the gameplay style stopped matching the RPG elements. I liked the cover and shooting, but it kind of broke the game. Detonation broke being an adept completely.

The first game wasn't perfect in the gameplay department, it was unrefined and the shot downright bad at times. But the classes had true variety and thus it made your choices matter. The game in the sequels devolved into typical third person shooter.

They'd have to pretty much rebuild the entire thing from the ground up anyway so I doubt the likelihood of it even happening.

That is true. The environments alone wouldn't fit the gameplay style. The first Mass Effect is really "flat" for a cover shooter.

Personally I would rather have a typical third-person shooter than a bad third-person shooter. But that's just me.

I wouldn't call it a devolution, just a change of style. The overall focus differs with each game as well. The first is more exploration-based, the second is more character driven, and the third is heavy on narrative. I like that each entry in the trilogy has a distinctiveness to it.

ME4 will be at E3.

Excited to be heading to LA for E3 this morning. My last visit was 8 years ago!

Niiiiice! Also maybe to show off next gen ME Trilogy editions?

games don't fallow or always fallow the rule of trilogies movies do it also depends on the people doing it. But a new series is likely.

I'd be more excited if I knew Casey Hudson wasn't involved. Fingers crossed.

I don't know how likely that is, cause he seems to be a mainstay he may be doing more of a producer thing later. but his names still might be attached to it in some form. just not directing things.

I don't think he has as big a role with ME4 as he did for the trilogy. From what I've read he's been working on a new IP for Bioware.

I just nabbed the Mass Effect Trilogy pack for my PS3

Time to see if my love for Mass Effect will be reactivated.
