Despite the ending of ME3 after Citadel came out I made it a point to have a save just before the point of no return, beat the game the load up the save and play Citadel as though it was a post-game DLC ignoring everything that anyone said otherwise. It just makes for a great ending as if everyone survived (including the Geth/Quarians) except for Thane and whoever else you got killed. Everyone gets together for a party, has fun and goes on wacky adventures against a clone.

if that works out for you that's great, telling yourself that citadel is post ending (would've been great if it actually was). it's the same as me telling myself that IT is true and destroy is the only way out, you know

Starchild was BS and pretty amateur writing to throw a Deus Ex Machina randomly into the plot that just happened to be the man behind the curtain the entire time with no foreshadowing. It would have been like Shepard suddenly telling everyone he was part of a secret Alliance program to build the perfect soldier then quote Master Chiefs origins from Halo "but I broke my armor and they were too cheap to fix it" or reveal he was really a super advanced Geth from the future sent back to save Ashley/Kaiden (whichever died in ME1) because they were super important to the future and since Shepard ****ed up that badly they needed to stay and do everything the exact same way but better than Ashley/Kaiden was supposed to have done.

yeah, the coop was pretty dope. i love that it boosted your ems too. a lot of people didn't like that they added mp, though.
Everyone of those people who said that to me (out of my Xbox friends) but tried it then become hooked on it lol. The guy who complained loudest was playing it regularly 2 years later! I will be all over it next time.

Haha, I'd actually forgotten all about Starchild. Shows how memorable he was.

word yeah, it's not as if the mp gameplay turned out bad, it's that they added it at all. it made the game further stray from being an action rpg to simply 3rd person shooter.

The MP Made the base game stray? I think the movement to more 3rd person shooter focus started with ME2. I hope they can balance out super-smooth combat with good RPG elements for ME4.

it strayed cause all those complain aren't into shooter or action games they like RPG in the traditional sense where it's turn base style or similar

I see those that complain about this so often.

It's just that they don't realize it was made for a different audience other the their own tastes.

but they're too busy thinking about their own personal taste it's like other people that have slightly different tastes don't exist.

all RPG's(or games) must revolve around what they like alone which makes for alot of close minded talk from those people sadly. it probably didn't help that start out with you always giving command to your AI team at all times cause this are mirco managed obsessed people.

when they(dev's or publishers) give both( it means you can play the way you always have with out worry ) with the "play how you want to play it ." But those still complaining already made up their minds that there should be only one way alone.

They still have what they want, but missed this part .

The word "option" it's too much of a foreign , alien concept of word or it's not in their vocabulary.
All they want to hear it's this better be the way I want it only. cause they do't want see some playing differently from the way they play it. sadly .

yes there are people like this & they do indeed say that.

I knew if this conversation went on long enough we'd get a mulit-quote post from 'Baneful :woot:
haha, wow, I didn't see this post until now. & hey, what can I say, I'm a passionate ME fan.

Me2 may have impacted my gaming life more than any other ever has.

Yes I love the RPG elements of 1 but the game is much better for me when the action side is comparable to other top shooters. I welcome them to go deeper down the RPG road if they can keep the combat they have now. Can be a beautiful combination!

after playing ME2, I really had a hard time going back to play ME1, due to combat changes.

Much prefer the combat system from ME2 and ME3, though I wouldn't mind if they added more RPG elements.

and speaking of the ME3 MP, I never played it, but I did read up on the various classes that were available in the MP.

I really do hope those additional classes and abilities get added to the single player campaign in ME4. at the very least, incorporate some of those MP class concepts to give us more variety and options in the single player.

like, some of those MP classes used a biotic blade or something and teleported around the battlefield. well, I think that should be an option in the main game. if you want to build your character to be a melee blade fighter, instead of using guns, you should have that option.

not that the game having mp made it stray hit it definitely just added the game being more action and straying more from it's rpg roots. It didn't add any rpg element to the game really other than bringing up your ems.

Just poking fun, you're far from the only SHH member who does it! :woot:

word, yeah. is there ever usually something said about those multi-quote posts/convos?

The only thing I recall is someone on here, whose name escapes me, states in their signature that if anyone starts breaking his/her posts up into multiple quotes, they'll no longer respond. Or something to that effect.

I find it handy for addressing individual points, but it can also be a sign (at times) that the conversation is becoming overly complicated. Swings and roundabouts!

Tron, I'm summoning you to change the title of this thread.

ah, yeah. jmc. 'cept i dunno why that'd be a bother. it just makes it easier to respond to different parts of a post.

as for the convo getting complicated, i think it just shows the limitations of holding a convo on a message board as opposed to direct instant chat messaging or in-person chats. there's a lot to talk about but it's one (post) at a time so you gotta always wait for the recipient to take action.

Ah,much better now. So how big of a reveal can we hope for at E3?

maybe the thread title was made so because when they talked about the next ME game they also mentioned working on a new IP.
And that would entail a different series, and would need its own thread separate from ME. In any case it doesn't matter as this is now fixed

I know. I'm just saying maybe that's how it happened.
