But Bizarro could work, too.
I wouldnt say hes a henchman, but hes the physical threat that you seem to be associating with henchman (as opposed to the diabolical world takeover types), but Id really love to see Lobo show up.
Lobo needs his own movie, not a cameo quasi villain role in a Superman movie
For a trilogy:
1. Metallo
2. Erradicator
3. Brainiac
yeah, but then you end up with 'Double Impact' (Jean Claude VanDamme).
I'd go with Parasite
1)he's not smart enough to be his own villain
2)he provides an opportunity for a superbattle
3)he provides a way to show that Superman is superman not because of his powers, but because of the values that the kent's instilled in him
4)he's an accident, so we don't have to wonder why there aren't more 'Parasites' walking around (unlike metallo vs. technology, if one person can build metallo a new body, then there
must be more like him around etc.)
I'd say Metallo, because he'd probably be the easiest to explain and connect to Luthor. Just use the origin from the animated series. Criminal/Merc on Lex's Payroll, gets hurt or something, (possibly during a battle with Supes in some kinda weapon he "stole" from Lexcorp) Lex offers him a shot at getting back at Supes and immortality by transferring his brain into a cyborg that runs on this rare mineral Lex has found. (Personally, I'd like to say that the actual robot was built by John Henry Irons who just so happens to have been employed with Lexcorp, but it doesn't really matter.) Big fight, Supes wins, barely, and before Metallo can talk, Lex activates his chip and destroys his brain. No, ties to Lex beyond a failed experiment gone awry, (that can be blamed John Henry, which results in his being fired and possibly brought up on charges even though he didn't do s**t, and maybe helped Supes a bit in taking the monster down, assuming his involvement is included.)
The Eradicator could carry his own movie if done right. In a way, I prefer Eradicator over Braniac.
Why does Luthor need to be President? Can't he just be Lex Luthor for now? Him being president, at this point, in a reboot setting? Well, that's just stupid. Gotta build up to that maybe.
Eradicator is a great, great concept that would fit superb in a movie. Unfortunatelly, ppl never remember Eradicator. Neither writers.
About Brainiac, i like TAS version, but I prefer what Johns is doing now in comics with the character. TAS version is a mix of Brainiac and Eradicator. Why mix both? U just loose potential doing it.
Keep Eradicator being Eradicator, and let Brainiac be Brainiac.
Please excuse my ignorance, but, who's Neron? I've never even heard of him.
Neron's not really a Superman villain. Hell he didn't even give a **** about Superman when he first appeared he was going after Captain Marvel.
Plus Superman can't stand up against a magic wielding villain.
